I visited this after the Doge's palace. There was a queue but not a very long one and it moved fast. It was not too crowded at the top and the views are amazing. I liked looking down at the tiny ant like people in the square! The water was out in the square so there were lines of humanity on the walk ways and a shallow lake in the square.
