“Superb views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Worth the 8 euros each to take lift to top and back down. Superb views, especially on clear sunny day. Beware long queue to get to pay desk and they only take cash.

“Great views - cash only admission - go early in your daytrip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

This is the tall, disused bell tower in St Mark's Square. You get to the top via an elevator - I don't recall any stairs and taking a pram was fine. Admission was cash only - even though our kids were young enough to be free, the number of places which charge cash only means you'll burn through Euro notes during your trip to Venice. We were there at end of August/September school holidays and the queue at around 10am was insignificant. I imagine by the middle of the day, it might be a different story. The views in the mid morning light were very good - lots of photo opportunities for the different angles over the islands which make up Venice. There isn't a lot of space at the top of the bell tower with all the other visitors cramming themselves in the window lookout points, but I noticed that they were 'holding' back people in a queue at ground level when we returned so they must keep a watch on numbers for safety's sake. The bells are still hanging there by the way - just no tolling - otherwise you'd be deafened!

“Stunning views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

It's indeed a must visit place in Venice! the views from above are really stunning and of course it's a great opportunity to take wonderful pictures of the city! in order reach the top you will need to buy a ticket to use the elevator which takes you almost to the top, from there is only one spiral flight of stairs left to climb and you are there. you can buy the tickets directly there when entering the tower. If i remember correctly it's 6 or 8 euros per person ( they accept only cash by the way).Enjoy!

“Spectacular Views of St. Mark's Square, Venice and Beyond”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

The Camponile (BellTower) provides the best views of Venice and beyond. There is an elevator that will take you to the top of the tower and it is best viewed during sunset and during the ringing of the bells. The lookout area provides maps to point out the most popular landmarks of Venice. Exceptional opportunity for photographers.

“fabulous view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

wonderful view of Venice from the top. The price was decent too compared to other towers (such as Pisa) and there was an elevator that carries you up and down. Unfortunately, the bells do not ring every hour so pick your time carefully if you want to be directly underneath them when they sound (or not!).
