“Delicious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

Our first night in Venice, we had a small dinner here. We split the spaghetti pomodoro (exceptional) and had two entrees. With three drinks, the whole meal was @60 euros.

The service was a little indifferent. The small restaurant filled up fast and included both tourists and neighborhood regulars.

“Buonissimo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

Great food and for Venice reasonably priced. Great for lunch(pranzo). The service is excellent and friendly.I do speak Italian and that certainly did help. The chief has a daily menu in addition to the regular fare .When we were there we were the only Americans ,mostly local Italians-always a good sign.

“Full circle and worth it.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

We arrived here after going to two highly rated Cichetti places without a reservation and beging told there was no space.
Funnily enough this restaurant was on our doorstep ... so the round trip took quite a while.
After arriving (quite late on for Venice) we were told if we waited we could have a table. A little while and a glass of Presecco later we were seated and ordering.
We went with house red which was very good.
Ordered the marinated salmon with sweet and sour sauce and fried vegetables - and the buffalo’s milk mozzarella with tomato and raw ham to start .... then the roast suckling pig with
green apple and seasonal vegetables - and the larded fillet of beef with grilled vegetables.
It was all really good, aside from my wife saying that she would have expected her pork skin to be crispy and a slight reduction in the fat - neither of which there was.
Good value and very much worth a visit.

“Food with love”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

The cafe is ver popular and we had to wait 30 mins before we can get the seats for us, so reservation is highly recommended. As soon as we are seated, we felt warmly welcomed and they made really nice vegetarian variations for us too. Forget the restaurant near the train station no matter how hungry you are, the best are inside the city. ANyway, this is a restaurant in venice that should not be missed.

“Very Good Contemporary”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

This is a very nice, casual, bustling contemporary restaurant in Santa Croce. The service was warm and professional. The food was creatively presented and tasty, and the portions generous. It also had an interesting, reasonably priced wine list. We enjoyed our dinner there.
