“Very tasty”

Worth seeking out if you're nearby, and far better than many of the gelateria on the main tourist routes, althouugh it doesn't have the best selection.

It was a very hot day when we visited, so the gelato was very welcome. And we enjoyed it so much we purposely made a pit stop on the vaporetto the next day.

“Great gelato in off-the-beaten-path spot”

From what I can tell, this gelateria is only on your way if you are going to or from the San Stae vaporetto shop. But the locals must keep it in business, because it's been there for a number of years. I love the gelato there, and if I'm in that part of Santa Croce, I always make it a point to stop in for some. My favorite is a specialty called Venexiana, which includes candied orange and chocolate cream.

“A good pit stop on a hot day!”

If it's a hot day and you're walking through the streets in Santa Croce on route to the Rialto bridge, stop off here. We sat down (not many seats to eat in) and had the advertised tasty cherry and chocolate ice creams in glass dishes. Interesting to watch them being made up too. Also on the way from San Stae vaporetto stop.

Lovely ice cream - super flavours. Just watch the price you are charged. A single cone was 1.5 euros. My friend had a double at 2,5 euros and because I followed her I was charged the same, just for a single (my fault as I didn't check my change until I had left)

“Yummy ice cream”

Delicious selection of ice cream. The Venexian was a lovely combination of vanilla ice cream, real pieces of bitter chocolate and candid orange!
