“Hidden nice restaurant !!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

It's our second time to Venice and we had accidentally found this place. They were serving a table and the smell was so good that we decided to stop. Even without reservation the waitress was very friendly and managed to get us a nice place outside even though the restaurant was packed! We ordered for entree a fried ravioli, it was very tasty!! It remembers me of pastel (a Brazilian food). And for main plate we ordered meat for two, chateaubriand, and to drink a region wine chianti Classico Peppoli. It was delicious!!! I'll come back to try the pizza!

“Incredible fish soup and delicious pizzas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

My daughter and I happened upon this restaurant while in Venice and enjoyed an incredible lunch. She ordered a fish soup, a meal in itself, that came in a huge bowl with every type of prawn, fish and more that you can image. It was delicious (she gave me a taste). I chose a Pizza with fresh basil and tomatoes that was simple but superb with the best crust. We topped this off with dessert and their Tiramisu and another chocolate pyramid cake were wonderful, and of course, excellent Italian coffee.

It was raining and we just happened to run into this "Ristorante and Pizza" while touring Rialto in the rain but it was one of the best meals we had during our 10 days in Italy. The price for the soup seemed really high when my daughter ordered it but she knew what she would be getting and it was indeed worth it and more. The pizza prices were reasonable and again I have never had a better pizza yet. Highly recommend a visit and try that soup!

“I would definitely return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

Muro is a little off the beaten path in Venice which is a good thing. We had a great bottle of wine at a reasonable price. The salad arugula salad was terrific. We had a 4 cheese pizza which was certainly better than average. The service was attentive without be overbearing.
Dinner with 2 salads, a pizza to share and a good bottle of wine was under 60 Euros.

“Good enough to go back twice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

This restaurant was mostly used by locals but the welcome we got was warm. From the Aperitivo Muro, a prosecco and strawberry concoction to the final coffee everything was superb. The Tagliata was cooked beautifully was very tender and tasty, served with rocket. We also had fillet steak, gnocchi and a salad, all very good. On our second visit we had pizzas; these were exceptional. One was garnished with torn buffalo mozzarella after cooking and was fantastically creamy. The tuna fish pizza came with a thinly sliced fresh tuna in both smoked and unsmoked slices, looking like ham. We felt that this was a more modern take on classic italian cooking, cooked with great care (we watched the pizza chef twirling the dough to create the thin base) and far from the run of the mill normal selections. It was also very good value, with house wines named and only 7 euros for a half litre!

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

We ended up at this restaurant just by coincidence and I'm really glad we did - sheer strike of luck. We had the ravioli and the three kinds of bruschetta for starter and I can highly recommend both of them - however the deep-fried ravioli was amazing. We both had pizza and I had the chef's special which was a wise choice - it was stuffed with basically everything tasty and italian: mozzarella, salami, capers, olives, Parmesan, rocket and so on. Unfortunately I couldn't finish my meal because it was so much food! We also had a caraff of beer. It all came up to about 50 euros. Would really recommend this place, we are going back there for pizza and dessert (as they had a fabulous dessert-menu that we were too full to try).
