“Great hotel with a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

If you plan to visit Venice, make sure you have a hotel with a good location. This hotel is ideally located between San Marco and the Rialto bridge. A bit difficult to find but that applies to a lot of places in Venice...

This is a place where you really feel welcome. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely decorated, unfortunately without a window at eye-level (there was one higher up), but there was a big window in the bathroom. Bathroom is well equipped, including bathrobes and a nice set of bathroom amenities.

Breakfast is very good. Not a very extensive choice but high quality. And the cappuccinos are really lovely, just like you expect it in Italy.

We traveled with my Inlaws and our children, aged 10, 7 & 4 in October 2014. The service was excellent, from the front desk staff, the porters to the breakfast buffet hostess. The location is excellent, an easy walk from the Rialto bridge. The suite easily accommodated my husband and I, with our boys on the pullout sofa and chair. I would highly recommend it for a family like ours!

Wonderful little hotel half way between Rialto Bridge and St. Marks. We took the water taxi to the Rialto stop and took an easy 6 minute walk over to the hotel. It was nice to have such a quick walk over to St. Marks in the evening after the crowds had left. Several nice restaurants just down the walk from the front door.
Rooms were good size with comfortable bed, adequate storage and a nice modern bathroom.
Friendly staff was helpful with eating suggestions and extra requests. (Thanks again for the use of your wine opener!) our balcony area was undergoing repairs but we were able to sit and relax at the canal-side entry so no problem.
Nice breakfast each morning with great coffee, eggs, pastries, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruits. We would definitely look at staying at the Aqua Palace the next time in Venice.

Stayed here as a part of our honeymoon, had room 101 and it was beautiful!! So peaceful and such a lovely space to relax in. We were greeted with a bottle of prosecco, were able to enjoy sitting out on the water front entrance in the evenings, and had a lovely waitress serving breakfast each morning. Definitely recommend staying here as a part of your visit to Venice.

We, a family of 6, made our way to the hotel like actual Venetians - according to the hotel's instructions we took the Vaporetto from the train station to Rialto and walked through the old alleys the short distance to the hotel.
The rooms exceded our expectations - standing at the window of the canal-view room for 4 was already a Venice experience, with boats and gondolas passing by and the lovely sound of the water. Breakfast was lovely with a very attentive waitress (unfortunately didn't ask her name) who really spoiled us...
Location is great, easy walking to all sites and to the boats going to the islands - Burano and Torcello recommended!
Everything in this lovely boutique hotel was absolutely great!

Room Tip: A canal-view room in an upper floor is. in my opinion, worth the extra price. We loved it!

Only had 2 days in Venice post our Mediterranean Cruise. Aqua Palace is in a great location as it is within a 5 minute walk for the Rialto Bridge or St. Marks. The hotel is tricky to find at first but eventually you start learning your way around. But be prepared to get lost...a lot...it's Venice! Our room was very nice. I've read reviews of people complaining about noise early in the mornings on the canal, but that really didn't bother us. You have to choose - romantic view of the canal or silence. I choose the view! The lady in charge of breakfast is just delightful! The hotel arranged a gondola ride for us and the gondola picked us up right at the hotel. We paid £100 for the gondola ride and it was definitely worth it - bucket list entry - tick. As we were heading out to dinner the heavens opened and it started bucketing down; the hotel suggested the restaurant around the corner and even called to make sure they had a table ready for us. This hotel has that typical venetian old time romantic look and ambiance and we just loved it. If you can't find the romance here, you won't find it anywhere.
