“Right in the middle of everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

We arrived by private water taxi directly to the entrance of the hotel and check-in was quick and efficient. Our stay was for 3 nights and everyone was very accommodating especially as we had a very late flight. The hotel is within minutes of St Mark's Square one way and the Rialto Bridge the other. Don't worry about getting lost - it's part of the experience and everyone does - if they say they don't then they're telling fibs!!!!!
Breakfast was superb and Sylvia greeted us every morning - she couldn't do enough for us - whatever we wanted, she would try and help. The reception staff always greeted us with a welcome and were always willing to answer our questions. The hotel does not have a restaurant but they recommend one a few hundred yards away called Ae Sconti and we were not disappointed.

We recently spent three nights here on our first trip to Venice and were very pleased. It is very easy walking from hotel to San Marco and Rialto. Breakfast was great and serving staff incredibly friendly and attentive. Easy taxi access. Desk staff very helpful and greeted us with a smile every time. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Book a junior suite on the canal for non-stop free entertainment of watching gondolas, tourists and other business streaming by. It is very quiet when you close the windows. The breakfast is truly excellent with one of the nicest servers I've ever met. The desk staff did an excellent job of addressing all our questions and requests. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for something special but not way over the top in price. Easy access to San Marco and Rialto.

Stayed for 4 nights in September. Location is perfect, being only a few minutes walk from both St Mark's square and the Rialto Bridge/Grand Canal. Hotel was perfect, clean room, good service and wide choice of breakfast. Very good value for money. Would definitely return.

Stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite. Top floor overlooking the canal. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was served in the restaurant downstairs and was delicious. Hotel is situated a short walk to restaurants, st marks sq and rialto. Would definately stay here again if lucky enough to return to venice.

We stayed at the Aqua Palace last summer at the end of july for two nights and the hotel is really nice!!! We had a big room, for my husband and me and our two teenagers, it was like a suite, with two rooms and a large nice luxurios bathroom. The breakfast included was very good, but what I like most, was that it is located in one of the canals, so, in the lobby you just open a door and the canal is just there and you can see the gondolas passing by and when you arrive to the hotel the taxi can just drop you off there, no walking with luggage. Very nice hotel, will surely come back on our next trip to Venice!!!

Having never stayed in the centre of Venice, we weren't quite sure what would be the perfect location. We wanted somewhere comfortable, and while cost wasn't the top priority, we wanted to have enough spending money to ensure we could also enjoy more than just the hotel.

I was a little dubious before we arrived... somehow I had this image of a slightly tyrollean lodge, with the odd cobweb in the corner from what I had seen on the website. Some sort of overwhelming and heavy brown wood feel. Nothing could have been further from the truth. It felt like the perfect Italian designer get away. With temperatures hitting 42 degrees, the aircon was essential.

The staff were great. Warm friendly and helpful. Just the right blend of being there, and not being obtrusive.

And the location was to die for: 5 minutes to St Marks Square, or 5 minutes to the Rialto Bridge. We couldn't have made a selection that suited us better.
