This hotel and friendly staff provided our best accommodations on recent trip to Italy that included stops in Florence and Rome. We stayed in the Red room (superior) for a 3-day stay in Venice, which is on one of the upper floors. We experienced absolutely no noise and the room was very dark which enhanced our sleeping. The red room is decorated in a venetian style, with red fabric on the walls and red bedding - it was a splurge and we loved it! The rooms are huge by European standards, furnished with a small table and chairs, armoire and other small tables. The bathroom was new and modern and the room was cleaned daily. It was very hot and humid in Venice, and the coolness of the hotel was very refreshing. The free Wifi was a bit annoying, requiring you to get a new password daily for each device being used, but we found this to be pretty standard at other properties. Breakfast was excellent with a very accommodating staff. We loved the filled crescents and looked forward to the cake of the day and the fresh fruit salad. Vaporetto stop is within easy walking distance - I recommend the ACTV pass which you can buy online ahead of your trip and pick up at the airport terminal in a self-service machine - it allows you to take a shuttle from the airport to the bus station and then you can ride the vaporetto an unlimited number of times during the length of your pass (we purchased 72 hours).
Thank you Catarina and your staff for a lovely stay!!
