This hotel is beautiful and charming. We were so pleasantly surprised with our room - we got the double room overlooking the canal - and enjoyed returning to the room after our daily treks through the city. I would definitely stay again. It was immaculate, and they did not cheap out on the interior finishes - from built in wardrobe, hardwood flooring and antique area rugs, to period furnishings and sound proof doors and modern fixtures in the bathroom. Do not look any further - stay here. The breakfast was so great and the coffee fantastic. We also felt lucky to be right near the train station at the eastern part of the canal for when our departure came and we were able to walk there to catch it for Florence. It is also a quiet hotel.

We stayed here in December 2012. It is perfect hotel for a stay in Venice. Beautiful view of the canal grande from our room and the breakfast room. There is a small veranda where you can sit and have a drink of coffee or wine right on the canal etc Very good location to the train station and square where the taxis drop off. The staff were all wonderful, the room was superb looking right over the canal even from the bathroom.Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. It was not cheap but you get what you pay for in this case. Faultless

The amount of excellent reviews of this hotel speak for themselves,there is not much more I can add. I don't want to bore readers by saying the same, but I have to - the hotel is perfect, friendly staff, spotlessly clean rooms, superb breakfast, great location, nice and quiet. Basically everything everyone else has written. I would definitely recommend this hotel and return if ever I get the chance. No negative comments at all.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Hotel Canal Grande and I must say it is still head and shoulders over any hotel we have stayed in Italy. When we arrived, I had reserved the room I thought I wanted and when we seemed dissapointed, the hotel staff immediately offered us upgrade options. We went ahead and upgraded to a canal view room and could not have been happier. We are already talking about going back!
