“surprise find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

we found this little icecream shop by chance on our way back to our hotel, we had delicious ginger and rose flavoured ices, we then realised it was a recommended venue in our guide book too!

“Yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

As with most of the best things in Venice we came across this almost by accident only to find it's recommended in one of the popular guide books. The ice cream is delicious - especially (in my case) the pistaccio - they roast the nuts themselves apparently which is not bright green (a good indicator of authenticity). We also had lemon, fig and mint.
We found ourselves nearby(ish) again the next day and made the detour to repeat the experience it was so good.

“Get the fresh in season ingredients!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

What a rastafarian treat! We sought out this place based on the recommendation of our guidebook (it was awesome getting lost on these quiet backstreets away from other tourists). We asked for recommendations and were directed to the figs and pears since they were in season...OMG. The flavors were incredible and so intense! We also tried the canella and ginger, which were also delicious.

“There are dozens of better places for gelato!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

This place has gotten rave reviews from a number of sources. We love gelato so we had to try it. What a disapointment. We always try the bacio and pistachio wherever we go and had it here as well. The flavors were muted and the nuts in the gelato really had no flavor. Also, it was a bit icy and thin. There's no reason to seek this place out.

“Very Good but Venchi is better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012 via mobile

My kids and I took the Vaporetto up here seeking the best gelato in Venice. it was pretty good, but very light, almost too airy. I found the chocolate gelato at Venchi near s Marco to be the best of the 10 gelatos I tasted during 3 very hote days in Venice.
