The walls are lined with magazine and newspaper articles boasting about Antico Dolo. If you look closely, though, most of these articles are from the late 80s to mid-90s. Not much has been written about this place in the last decade, and the food shows you why. Last night, we ordered spaghetti in a clam sauce and potato gnocchi in a meat sauce. Both meals were ok - they didn't stand out as good, and they didn't stand out as bad. Neither dish had us wanting more. The wait staff spoke some English (the younger waitress more so than the older waitress) and was very friendly. They cleaned an open table and sat us soon after another couple left. When we left, we forget to grab our camera bag from underneath the table. To our surprise, the waitress noticed it and stowed it behind the bar for safekeeping. When we returned today, the camera, credit card and cash were untouched. We gave the staff a huge thanks for this. Even so, we wouldn't dine here again: 19 euro for spaghetti and 14 euro for gnocchi. A little pricey for the dish size and quality.
