“excenllent hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

We stayed 6 days in this hotel and we had no problem, the staff were kind enough, the breakfast was good, the rooms were very clean and beautiful. We find very easy way to hotel , it's located in a quiet part of Venice. I definitily recomend it, we had a wonderful stay !!

“Over priced for limited amenities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

This is a quaint little boutique hotel. It's an easy walk from the hotel location to St. Mark's and the Rialto Bridge. Unfortunately, the consierge service has a bit to be desired. We had our luggage delivered to the hotel prior to our arrival. The lady at the hotel told us that had she been at the front desk she would have refused our luggage because she wasn't expecting it. Really??? If a large suit case arrived at your hotel, wouldn't you check registration records to see if you had guests arriving under that name? In addition, there are posters advertising local concerts with the convenience of having tickets printed by your consierge. The same desk person did not offer to print our tickets but told us to walk to the concert hall and buy the tickets ourselves. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast. What they don't tell you is that seating is limited and you might not be able to find a table for breakfast. There is no turn down service in the evenings, which I don't find to be a big issue, but a bottle of water after a long day of walking would surely been nice. We did take water from our room's refrigerator. Upon leaving, we were told that we could only pay cash for the waters and could not add it to our credit card bill. That would be fine except that the front desk has no change available for cash transactions. Therefore, we were forced to overpay.

This hotel has a lot of potential but need to learn a few lessons on customer courtesy. If you are merely looking for a place to sleep this hotel will do fine. If you are looking for anything more I would recommend finding another location.

“Rude service ruined our stay...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

On arriving at Ca'Pagan, a beautiful little hotel in a fabulous location, we were let down by poor service from the lady at reception.

After being made to wait whilst she dealt with other guests, which initially was fine, we were then interrupted every time someone came to make a enquiry. The only reason is due to our younger age, we were perhaps overlooked.

Internet didn't work throughout our stay and when we asked about it from the same lady, we were met with apathy and annoyance, as if we were an inconvenience. An iron for our room was also seen as too much!

The hotel itself is beautiful and the breakfast and restaurant staff lovely. Unfortunately that particular member of staff ruined our stay, making us feel uncomfortable being to be there.

“Beautiful Hotel in Brilliant Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

Myself and my husband travelled to Venice last week (end of October 2012) and stayed in teh Ca Pagan hotel. The hotel was only a few minutes walk from two different water taxi stops and was only a short walk from St Mark's Square. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the hotel decor was beautiful and quaint, all marble and mirrors in the foyer but it was compact so it wasn't OTT or anything...it was just really lovely. We had a lovely room on the first floor, very spacious with beautiful furnishings and two big windows, and the bathroom was also gorgeous and spacious. The breakfast was also nice but standard continental (no hot extras or anything). I was really sorry we hadn't planned our trip to stay 2 nights in Venice as the city is beautiful and interesting and I would have loved another day to go exploring and visit more craft shops and not just visit the main sites, and also the hotel was lovely, well situated and not expensive (probably due to season) so another night there would have been great too!!

“Sweet retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

Love Venice. A wanderers paradise. CA' Pagan is a boutique guest house which is the perfect place to base ourselves. The receptionists were really helpful and accommodating and made us feel extra special as this visit was a treat for our anniversary. The rooms are like the city...stylish and unique. We look forward to returning!
