“First class hotel without a single fault”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

My wife and I stayed at the Palazzo Paruta for 3 nights while visiting Venice earlier this month to
celebrate (almost) 5 years together and it was my Christmas present to her, along with 4 very hectic days in Rome. It was booked as a romantic "get away" and was everthing that we wanted.
The total experience from start to finish was excellent and we can only say this hotel made our visit just perfect. The rooms are amazing, the food was excellent and the staff were all just so polite and helpful. The location is just perfect for the main sights in Venice and the surrounding areas have a large choice of high quality shops, bars and restaurants to choose from, all within a few minutes walk from the hotel. Booking the hotel directly was nice and simple and all of my communication with the reservations department was a pleasure. When we visit Venice again we will stay here without any doubt and we will recommend the hotel to anyone. The best hotel we have ever stayed in.

My husband and I have just completed our first time honeymoon stay and trip to Venice. This hotel is outstanding in all aspects - upon arrival staff were welcoming and informed us they had upgraded us to a junior suite with private balcony. The decor and hotel furnishings - as is the outdoor courtyard - is truly stunning and offers a wealth of charm and opulence. The location is also superb - approx 7 mins walk to St Mark's Square and is perfectly situated in San Marco for all the tourist attractions. Breakfast is served until 10.30 - handy if you wish to lie in and was of a superb standard. Will definitely return again - could not have asked for a nicer hotel!

This former convent is tucked away in the corner of Campo St Angelo over a small bridge - this might help you track this treasure down. No more than 10 minutes from the likes of the Rialto Bridge or St Mark's Square. Great service, particularly Julien the Maitre'd. Lovely courtyard which is a great relief from the heat? Only drawback is that the aircon is not switched on until the end of April - our room hit over 25c one evening. Certainly would come back

This is a quiet little hotel, with nice staff and no fuss. My double room was small, but then I got a bargain online and it had a bed and bathroom, so I had no complaints. It has free wifi, dodgy TV reception, a strict "no outside food" policy (though it's hard to know how they can police it), clean rooms and proper showers with pressure and hot water.

Breakfast is varied and ample, with the offer of omelettes and crepes if you want them. The winner for me was a wheel of parmesan with chunks and shavings gouged out of the centre to add to your plate, which I did, liberally. Good coffee and a free afternoon tea, which I never got back for.

It is really well located, a stone's throw from Sant' Angelo vaporetto stop (for both station and airport) and a ten-minute amble to St Marks, or five to Accademia. All in all, very well placed.

This hotel is very "Venetian", extremely well decorated, which gives you an impression that you live amongst antiques and history, elegant and luxurious is how I would describe it. I booked a standard room, but would have liked to upgrade had the hotel not been fully booked. Everyone I encountered in this hotel is courteous and willing. It was a pleasant stay.
There is one negative - house keeping, the headboard in our room had not been dusted for some time.

We stayed at Palazzo Paruta for four days in connection with a 2015 Easter trip. The first impression of the hotel is really good: kind frontdesk staff, lovely little courtyard, brilliant central location and charming breakfast room. Our room was however not that great; no heating made us freeze at night, the water supply was on/off and the room generally needed some renovation; i.e. avoid room 501.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for our anniversary trip to Europe. I must say this hotel is impressive and has exceeded my expectations. It has a romantic, luxurious but comfortable setting. Both the staff at breakfast and afternoon tea were attentive and very welcoming. We were spoiled during our stay. We had a complementary bottle of Prosecco and pastries waiting in our room upon check in. Breakfast was really good with a lot of choices and food was different every day. Freshly made crepes and pasta were available as well. They offer afternoon tea daily from 4-5pm, which comes with cakes, cookies, sandwiches. The wifi connection was pretty good. The location is really close to St Mark's Square, Rialto and Accademia. There's also a vaporetto stop very close to the hotel. Stay in this hotel if you want a true Venetian experience.
