We stayed at Venice Resorts for three nights whilst in Venice. Prior to our arrival the staff were very helpful and efficient. We contacted them a few days before our arrival asking if we could arrive earlier. They confirmed quickly so we could make the arrangements.
The B & B is relatively close to the train station and we simply walked. The only issue is the bridges with all the stairs, but I was lucky to have a lovely boyfriend who carried both bags. We checked in at a different hotel, and were taken to Venice Resorts. All payment was made on arrival which actually made it easier when departing as we simply had to lock our key in our room.
Location was terrific. It was about a 10-13 minute walk to St Mark's Square but you didn't notice at all. There is so much to see and do along the way that I think you actually see more of Venice staying a bit further away. But there was also a delicious pizzeria just down from the hotel which was great when we wanted a quiet night in with an easy dinner close by.
The room was large for europe standards, let alone Venice. It was tidy, humble and very neat. We were impressed. The bathroom was a reasonable size but the shower was probably on the smaller side. The hotel advertised free wi-fi and gave us the password, but the signal was so weak one of our devices didnt even pick it up. The other kept dropping out so we gave up. That was disappointing as we used our email to communicate with hotels, family back home and organise tours etc. Room service was also disappointing. We never got clean towels - our used ones just got re-hung up. Our little basket with soaps, shampoo etc didn't get refilled. It was just ignored. Every other hotel and B&B have done these things so we sort of just expected it. Additionally, breakfast is at a cafe down the road. Other people have commented that it was the bare minimum and they are absolutely right. The coffee/hot chocolate we were served were cold or lukewarm at best every single morning. The croissant was okay, but comparing the croissant we were served to what they serve their customers (displayed in the counter) it was of completely different quality. I found breakfast very disappointing and suggest Venice Resorts find somewhere else to serve their breakfast or actually look at what they are serving.
Overall though, quite a pleasurable stay.
