“Fab welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2011

The accomodation was in a lovely spot. A much quieter part of venice but close enough to the main attractions. The rooms were lovely and quiet. We were greated by monica who couldnt do enough to make us feel welcome. Would definately return.

We stayed in Venice Resorts whilst visiting Venice on our honeymoon. After a long time looking for accommodation I finally found Venice Resorts and was immediately attracted to the more modern look of the rooms for the price, I had seen A LOT WORSE for much more $!! I decided to splurge and go got the "Penthouse Suite" - BAD MOVE! There is a painful 60 stairs to climb just to get to the room, so by the time you finally get up there you are exhausted- hardly romantic! There was breakfast included in our stay which I was excited about but that also proved quite dissappointing, 2 bread rolls, a pastry and a very off tasting juice!

Aside from the off points listed above the residence itself is quite clean and well kept ( aside from our lifting and quite badly tilted wood floors ).

For a place to sleep got a reasonable price I would reccomend it and the lovely restaurant suggested downstairs

We stayed in a junior suite at Venice Resorts having been moved from the B&B Casanova Tolentini due to some unforseen problems with that location. Martina was very helpful, met us and showed us to the property and assisted with check-in. We had a two bedroom suite, a double and two singles which was immaculate with a nice sized bath. The location was perfect for us--close to train and bus stations and convenient for walking, exploring Venice and all water transportation. We wanted to visit Murano and Martina directed us to the express vapporetto near the bus station which was convenient and a time-saver. Our advice to anyone traveling to Venice for the first time would be to consider Venice Resorts--not a hotel, but a great place to stay!

We stayed here for 5 days and were very pleased with the location - near to a beautiful canal and in a non-touristy local area for us to get lost in. There are some great Osterias (local restaurants) nearby and also close to the main Vaporetti (can get to anywhere on the Grand Canal, or nearby Islands).

We stayed in the standard room which was quite large (although smallish bathroom with shower - but it was plenty fine for us!) the room had a small fridge to keep our Prosecco cold and enough room for another fold out bed (it was that spacious!)

I was a little concerned since we were flying into Venice late in the evening and there is no reception (you have to phone for someone to meet you at the main square Piazza Roma). But I emailed Venice Resorts in advance and it turns out they have another hotel (with reception) very close to Venice Resorts and so someone is always at hand in reality. There is also a place to store your bags if you are checking out but leaving for the airport later in the day.

I was very happy with Venice Resorts and wouldnt have chosen a better location. Even better still, the price - given a number of places on the main island are at least twice the price!! We had a great stay.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights because of business travel. There is not much to say but that it is an excellent place to stay while in Venice. Great location, very clean and the staff are really nice. In my opinion it is good value for money. Also there are couple of very good restaurants in the location. I will definetly return over and over again.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the small garden

My wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast for two nights in June. It was well located for us close to the train station and piazza Roma we we caught the shuttle bus to the port for our cruise. From piazza Roma (which was about a 5 minute walk from the B&B) you catch the water bus to were ever you want to go in Venice. The room was a suitable size and clean. The owner Alberto was helpful and easy going. The only down side was the breakfast. You have to go to the bar down the road and get what was just a bread roll a croissant, jam a watered down orange and coffee. If that isn't a issue then this B&B good.

Alberto owns this property and he was very nice, informative and helpful. This hotel is a little far from the train station so we had to drag our bags up and down stairs. But you need to expect that in Venice because only some of the water taxis go to stops near hotels. I would suggest just packing lightly if you can because that's just the way it is. The air conditioning was not working in the room we were supposed to stay in so Alberto put us in a different apartment instead, which was very nice. He gave us good advice on where to eat and what to avoid. The room was really nice and plenty of room for the 4 of us. It was clean and exactly what we wanted. Value was good. I'd definitely recommend staying at one of Alberto's properties.
