The platters of fish that came out of the tiny kitchen were extraordinary including pesce crudo (raw fish and shellfish) and "fritto misto" or the deep fried shellfish and fish composition so typical in the Veneto. Unfortunately, the seppie alla veneziana, or cuttlefish in its sauce, was too heavy and saturated with sauce and it seemed as if large strips of calamari were used instead of the little delicate cuttlefish so typical of this dish. We can also quibble with the salad since it seemed more of the pizzeria type than consistent with the high standards of this restaurant. We concluded that we had ordered badly and that we would return for another visit. Outstanding service from the delightful and kind proprietors.
