after reading TA review, we made a reservation via email and they were quick and prompt with email and accommodating with changes. They were hard to find, you really need a good iPhone GPS. BTW a GPS is a must in Venice, forget the maps, you'll never find your way around to the small out of the way places. we were warmly greeted and we were there in December so it was not full at all. We sat next to a couple from France and had a pleasant conversation during dinner. we started with scallops + artichokes with pasta, was very nice flavor, then the grill fish plate to share for second course, that was very nice too, we had Prosecco with our meals. for main course we had the steak with pepper sauce which was delicious. I had the mix fried seafood, which in retrospect was not the best choice of food on my part, it had a light batter which was nice but probably could get that any where in the world. They were very accommodating and even thou we were the last customers at the restaurant and we were talking and drinking well after the restaurant was closed, they never made us fell unwelcome or rushed. all in all we had a very nice time and delicious meal. My husand and I went to this small restaurant down a side street in late August. We had prebooked by email from the UK. There was no availability on our first suggested day but luckily we managed to book a different night. Great decision-we sat outside (and sheltered under the retractable roof during a brief rain shower)-and had one of the best meals we’ve ever had.

V small osteria serving typical Venetian food which I find bland and boring after 2 days! The food here is very fresh and served with care. Desserts very limited and no cheese available. The beef taglonini was dull and only served with potatoes, which is one of my pet hates about Venetian cuisine.. Hardly any vegetables ever served.

Dined 10/7/12 - Antico Giardinetto was a solid meal and worth the visit. Love the courtyard and would recommend getting a table within. This place books up very quickly. I wrote them a month before our trip and it was already booked solid. We were lucky to get in at 7pm on our second night for a "walk-in".

The husband/wife combo was well executed. Friendly service. I had the Tagliolini with Scallops and Artichokes. Scallops perfectly prepared. My fiancee had the Pumpkin Gnocchi with Scampi and Red Chicory. Both incredibly tasty and fresh. I lean towards the seafood dishes being that it's Venice. If I had to be picky, the bread was disappointing. But that's definitely not the reason for the visit.
