“This was a perfect lunch and the nicest meal we had in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

This was a wonderful find,, a bit off the beaten track and full of locals having lunch. The atmosphere, service, fresh food and whole experience made the nicest meal. It really was great, fresh food at good prices in what appears to be a very authentic setting, wooden panelling and lovely old brass lights. Well worth the detour and we'll go again.

“Fab tourist free restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

Delicious food, fun place to be. Stand up area where workmen and travellers in the know come for quick cheap bite to eat. We sat down and enjoyed various pasta dishes, panninis and tramezzini (sandwich). All very tasty.
If you like good food at a good price off the main drag, then this is the place.

“Great people!! Must try for lunch!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

A little out of the way but certainly a great place. Atmosphere and food is amazing and the people working there are great. The place is right on a small channel with a beautiful view. A cool place to connect with the locals. If you want a little bit of secret Venice, this is the ideal place and walk. Try it for lunch!!

“Very good quality/price ratio and friendly ambiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We discovered this charming osteria wandering in Venice. It has been a real surprise. The staff is really friendly and the food is simple, traditional and excellent. You can eat a variety of cicchetti (the Venetian tapas) for a very reasonable price. We tried also the octopus salad (good) and the raw mazzancolle (a kind of bigger shrimp, delicious!!). Typical Italian dessert and a selection of cheese are also available and very tasty. The house wine it's good, they also have a good selection of local wines, not very expensive.

“Friendly wee place”

Stopped off here on our wanderings through Dorsoduro district. Very friendly place with good service and nice snacks (and lovely fruit salad) Good reasonable prices and busy with lots of locals.
