“Hard to find, follow your nose”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

First this is not a restaurant, but a carryout. My husband and I had walked by this place several times going to our hotel. Each time we commented on how great it smelled. We finally stopped in and got 2 different types. Both were delicious. Medium thickness crust with lots of vegetable toppings. One of the pieces had pumpkin instead of tomato sauce. Excellent food and good service. English was spoken. Recommend as a snack or lunch.

“Great Pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Having just returned from a 5 night stay in Venice, I felt I needed to write a review on this place especially as I only discovered it as a result of reviews written on this site.

Arte Della Pizza was a very short walk from our hotel but honestly would have walked a much further distance to find this place if needed. The pizza was delicious! We visited several times and always received a very friendly welcome. The staff do speak some English and are very nice.

Arte Della Pizza is very popular and was always very busy when we visited, this is not to say that this had an impact on the service you receive. What I really liked about Arte Della Pizza was that you get good value for money. For example, a large margarita pizza (which is very big) was €11it was only €12 for a pizza with 2/3 toppings.

Arte Della Pizza is definitely worth a visit :0) if you like good quality pizza that doesn't cost a fortune.

“Great pizza, worth breaking your diet for!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

We walked to this place based on TripAdvisor comments and can confirm it was worth it!

Pros:
Managed by the owners - the lady is lovely and took great pride in looking after us.
Quality and freshness of dough and ingredients is excellent; we ordered individual pizzas to order, but they also sell by the slice and look fresh and with high turnover.
Excellent value for money.
There is a small bench where you can eat your pizza and have a soda and watch the locals come and go.

Cons:
None - other than the calories….

We ordered Four Cheese, and Prosciutto and Mushroom pizzas. The small size is certainly enough for a hungry adult.

“Great pizza, worth the walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

When we were there in Summer, the place was closed and there was a small sign in Italian. A helpful grocery store owner pointed further down the street and we found the Pizzeria 100m or so ahead. And what a find it was! I had the egg and mushroom pizza and my husband a salami pizza, and we finished our warm, fresh and tasty pizzas (mid-sized) in about 5 minutes. We packed another one to go for dinner later as well! :) We are definitely going back when we return. Like other reviewers mentioned, best for takeaway, unless things have changed since July.

“A good take away pizzaria”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013 via mobile

If you are in Cannaregio and do not like to spend 13-20 ? for a dish in an below average restaurant, Arte della pizza offers you a good midd size (more than enough for one) for 5-8 ?.
