“worth the effort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Finding this wonderful restaurant required a lot of wandering, but it was worth the extra exploring. It's far off the beaten path. We felt lost at several points during our walk to the restaurant (15 minutes from the main tourist area) and felt an urge to drop bread crumbs so we could return after dinner. Creative food, a cozy setting and a welcoming staff combined to create a memorable dining experience once we arrived. Our waiter even allows our 11 year old son to melt the sugar on his creme brûlée. He'll never forget that!

“Great place and lovely staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

I have only eaten in the bar at the front but it's a great place to graze if you just miss the boat to Burano!! Great cichetti, nice staff. Eat at the bar and great value also. Recommended.

“Worth the trip to this side of town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Great place for just a glass of wine, or better still a meal in this elegant waterside restaurant.

This last visit, we had a starter of mixed scallops, which they kindly split onto two plates to share, then a fabulous 'Tagliatelle Pescatora' for the main.

Extensive wine list, and a decent selection by the glass

Staff very pleasant and keen to ensure have an enjoyable meal.

“the most fabulous restaurant in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

An excellent restaurant, run by foodies who are passionate about produce from the Veneto, friendly and extremely happy to assist people any way they can, including having at least one member of staff fluent in each of the major European languages and possibly some others too. The food is to die for - their speciality is Aberdeen Angus, the only non-Veneto thing they do. Don't order steak anywhere else in Venice, it will be a poxy minute steak thing like a leather shoe sole. Not cheap if you go for a full meal of antipasti, primi, secondi and dolce, plus wines, but well worth it. But you don't need to have a costly meal, the salads are huge and filling, the pizzas are good too.
