“SPOTLESS”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

We stayed at this hotel April 18th 2013 for 4 nights, could not fault it. The hotel was spotless and the staff were brilliant, so helpful and polite. We did not have breakfast as we wanted to try other places so we went to Annikas which is about 30 yards away around the corner this opens at 8 am. Coffee was 1.5-2.5 euros, we had a croissant each and the total for the 2 of us was 7 euros, excellent value. Next to Annikas was a busy bar called OSTERIA PORTEGO serving Tapas like food, WONDERFUL and TASTY. This place was busy from 6 pm, well worth a visit, super atmosphere. If you do book this hotel ask them for a map for directions from the Rialto Bridge, it is only 500-600yds away. As for Venice, cant wait to return, if you require further information do no hesitate to contact us, Rod& Jennifer

Room Tip: All rooms are spotless.

We stayed at Ca Bragadin Carabba for 4 nights in early April in a classic room which we feel represented good value for Venice.
The map provided and YouTube video are really useful for finding the hotel! Location is excellent - we walked everywhere easily, including back to Piazzale Roma for the airport bus which only took 25 minutes with small cases.
The room was clean, comfortable and warm with a large terrace at the back of the hotel.
Campo Santa Marina is a lovely square with a convenient friendly cafe for breakfast if you choose not to eat in the hotel. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful.
Having compared prices with the 2 other small hotels we stayed in on previous visits to Venice, this was definitely the most competitive.

We have one of the larger rooms with 12 foot ceilings, two large windows overlooking a piazza, a king sized bed and a large bathroom by european standards. They have 24 hour room service, continental in room or buffet breakfast in the small sunny dinning room. The staff is very helpful for finding sights, tours, restaurants and services. If you want a view of the Grand Canal this is not your hotel. But if you want a quiet, comfortable home that is central to all the sights and amenities this is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the campo or piazza.

A place easy to find if you follow the helpful instructions of the hotel. Centered in the citycentre, 5 minutes from Rialto, 10 minutes from San Marco, the hotel is nevertheless located in a very silent neighbourhood of Castello. At the reception desk you will always find answers to your questions (Italian/English language, no German). The breakfast (if you pay additional 12 €) is excellent. In summary, the price- value- ratio was ok. So I will come back, the next time I stay in Venice.

Excellent stay at this lovely Inn near the Rialto Bridge in Venice. Definitely use the map they provide to help find the hotel - we found it easily with no problem. The room was large and spacious with a large, comfortable bed, wardrobe, desk and comfy chair. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, all speaking English. The hotel location was great - five minutes walk to Rialto Bridge and the Vaporetto stop. Easy walk to St Mark's square following the signs. We had the hotel breakfast once but found it a bit expensive for what you get. There is a selection of meat, cheese, croissants, cereal, yogurt, juice and tea/coffee. However, we preferred to get a coffee and a pastry from a cafe nearby for a much cheaper price. Excellent Osteria nearby for cicheti (snacks) and drinks. 2.50 euros for a glass of prosecco and 2-3 euros per snack. All in all a great hotel.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Excellent hotel in Venice. The room was large and had all the nice amenities you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Great location (a bit difficult to find it first) so close to Rialto and piazza San Marco, plus lots of nice eateries around the hotel. Yes, we did not taste the breakfast there, try the little cafes in the Campo Santa Marina. The minor aspects were the wifi that I paid 24h access, but on my iPad it was running even when I was not using it; the receptionist explained me a trick, but it did not work. The bedroom was a bit too dark during the day and sometimes the door to reception was closed even when someone was there. These were minor issues and they need impact on my general view of the hotel. I would stay there again and recommend it!
