“Great little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2011

This is a very nice and very small B&B in Venice. You will get a small but very clean and quite room with air and a great breakfast in the morning. The people are very very nice.

They have a good map but finding this little place is hard. Don't look for a big sign rather look for the brass plate.

If small is a problem for you then don't go here, however is you want clean, nice, and great people then this is the place.

I looked at dozens of hotels in Venice and none looked nearly as clean and high quality for the price. The location was perfect, though the small green door entrance was hard to find. The room was very clean and top quality, perfect Italian decor, a minibar, air conditioner, and we ordered Prosecco on arrival which was in the room waiting on ice. The staff were very friendly and helpful though their English was limited.

Excellent directions provided for us as we arrived by train. We were able to check in early and were greeted by lovely people. The triple room was beautifully decorated and we only had 1 flight of stairs to climb. Excellent location close to everything especially St marks square. Atmosphere was great as we could look out our window to see people walking by and the gelati shop downstairs. Internet excellent too.

This mom and pop B&B is nice, it may shock you at first but later on you will end up loving the little hotel. If you are use to big hotels, you may get one in Venice for Top dollars, other than that, all hotels are the same. This hotel is very well located and just steps from Plaza San Marcos and grate shopping stores. The people are wonderful at this hotel. I will stay again.

The B&B is very close to the square and Rialto Bridge, which was the reason we booked it. The island is pretty small and it is easy enough to walk around though. Getting something this close is not as much of a necessity as we expected, though we were pleased.
The rooms looked as advertised. They are small, but we were there to visit the city and I imagine most rooms in Venice are small. We were upgraded to the larger room with small terrace and it was very nice and clean.
[To be noted: I read a negative review on tripadvisor prior to leaving and was very worried about the place being old and smelling moldy. My boyfriend and I walked into the other rooms to look and did notice an odor in one of them. I wasn't overwhelming but it probably would have bothered my allergies if I stayed in that room.]
The owners don't really speak English, but, we were in Italy after all so no complaints about that.
This was our first stop and we had trouble getting up early and going; FYI they want to clean at 11 so plan on not being there.
The breakfast was mostly bread, which tasted pretty good and the cappacino was awesome. They bring it to your room, which was nice since we were up so late every day.
My boyfriend needed to finish some work while we were there and internet access was a bit of an issue. They only allow a couple of hours at a time, and if no one is at reception and you run out, you are out. This was the biggest con in my book, but in the grand scheme of things not too much trouble. We were worried they were charging for it, but they weren't, it's free. Also, the bed and pillows were a bit hard, just like everywhere else in Italy.
Overall, the owners were nice and friendly, the location was fantastic, and the room was pretty. I liked it, would recommend it, and would stay there again.

The first clue we should have asked about was the 3 air fresheners plugged in throughout. If you can handle to over-perfuming of it, don't unplug them!!! We did and discovered the most disgusting smells of rot an mildew. Horrible nights sleep with the smell, we were supposed to stay 2 nights but had to leave. The staff was apologetic and offered a different smelly room but we had to leave. It cost us 140 euro, which they made noffer in even reducing the rate for their unhealthy room (in my opinion) but it was worth it. We got out of Venice and it gave us an extra night in beautiful, clean Austria without the toilet paper in the canals and grafitti.

In the four years since we run our structure ever no customer has complained of mold . These gentlemen were allergic to fragrance liquid inserted into the light socket.
Just take it as then did some other guest.
There are molds seen that the structure and the rooms are located on the first floor and the ground floors and are furnished with new fabrics and carpeting Allergy damask. If these gentlemen have seen toilet paper in Venice canals, and graffiti on the walls a bit 'is also guilty of some rude tourists.
Finally, this customer wrote to us because the only negative review, leaving the structure after a single night he had to pay for the entire 3 nights (with the discount), he was also proposed replacing the chamber without further expense and without seeing it said no.

Thanking I extend my greetings
