This was our first trip to Venice. Prior to getting there, Fabio had recommended that we take the inexpensive waterbus from the airport to the San Zaccheria stop. This takes about 40 minutes and there's plenty to see on the way. 3C is a minute's walk from the waterbus stop down an intriguing alleyway. Although tucked away, 3C is easy to find if you follow Fabio's directions. This B&B is only a minute away from St Marco Square - but there is no noise and there are no crowds. Friendly Fabio gets full marks for a professionally run business. He's very observant to his guests needs. Once we had settled in - he gave us a good 30-minute briefing on what to do, what to see (great advice on the food market) and where to eat. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the bathrooms spacious and modern. If you are looking to stay right in the heart of Venice but do not want to pay a fortune - then 3C is the perfect place. We would definitely stay again. We left to travel by train to Florence. From San Zaccheria, we took the inexpensive water taxi to the train station. This takes about 40 minutes - but you should probably allow an hour. Again, there was plenty to see on the way. As we passed the gigantic tour ships moored in the harbour - we were so glad we hadn't stayed on one of those while we were in beautiful Venice!
