“Perfectly located jewel of a Bed and Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Fabio is an outstanding host in this perfectly located jewel of a Bed and Breakfast. Between Fabio's breakfasts (cappuccinos & macchiatos were awesome) and his tips on where to eat dinner (we ate at 4 fabulous local wine bars very off the "beaten path") and advice on navigating the acqua alta (yes, the water in the streets of Venice was up over our knees for a few hours) and the daily Italian lessons he gave our daughter, there could not possibly be a better place to stay in Venice! Galia did an excellent job keeping our room fresh and clean. Eleonora was quick on the e-mail responses with great advice on pre-booking the Doge's Palace Secret Itinerary tour. (Yes, breakfast is served right outside all the bedroom doors from 830-10a; but why would you want to sleep in and miss Venice? And yes, you have to pay €5 for 3 hrs of internet; but why would you spend your time on the internet while you're in Venice?) Unabashedly recommended!!

Room Tip: Breakfast is served outside all the rooms, so you'll hear Fabio and his cappuccino machine every...

Fabio greated us on arrival, explanind the sights of Venice and how to get around. The room was clean and the bathroom was also very clean and bright. Breakfeast was lovely searved in the moring by Fabio. The only down side would be the airconditioner is not adjustable, it is just off or on and take quite a while to cool the room.
We also would have used the WiFi but found we needed to pay for it so didnt.

We stayed at 3C for 2 nights in October 2012. Our room was spotless and spacious. Fabio is a fantastic host, providing excellent directions and recommendations when asked. We enjoyed the breakfast he prepared each morning. The location, right next to St. Mark's Square and very close to a vaporetto stop, is ideal and very convenient. We would wholeheartedly recommend this B&B to friends and will return there when we next visit Venice.

Fantastic location close to St Marks square. Very high quality accommodation with large room and bathroom. Fabio is a great host and prepares breakfast each day for the guests including nice coffee. He provided helpful tips on what to see and do in Venice. Highly recommended.

This B&B, is in an ideal location for your visit to Venice. Very close to St. Marks Square, Rialto Bridge, the Grand Canal area,etc.,etc. Besides the wonderful location, the triple room we had was outstanding. Very large, with pocket doors to divide the living and bedroom area. It had a small dining table, wonderful large bathroom, lots of storage,TV, safe, and was on the main floor, right by the breakfast area. The room was very updated and had everything you needed for a wonderful stay. The breakfast that was offered was also ample. The only drawback, if you have trouble climbing stairs, is that there are 2 sets of stairs from the street to arrive at the B&B. The other nice thing is that all the doors are operated by a card or button, no keys. I would highly recommend this B&B, and look forward to staying here on our next trip to Venice.

We (my teenage daughter and I) stayed here in the middle of September and enjoyed it. The B&B is brilliantly located just a few minutes from St Mark's Square and so is perfectly positioned from which you can experience the delights of Venice. It is on a small, relatively quiet street (can be a bit noisy in the morning and evening when the shops nearby open and close, as the shopkeepers do make a bit of noise dragging things about, but nothing that lasts long) about 5 minutes walk from the San Zaccharia water taxi stop, although there is definitely a bridge you have to take your luggage over before getting to the B&B, despite information to the contrary I was given I think on the website. Venice is very expensive to stay and eat in, and for the price, this was a great find. The room was quite small but was attractively furnished, comfortable,if a little dark (there was a window but not much light got in), and was airconditioned which was great because it can get quite humid and sticky in Venice. Our bathroom was definitely very small but has everything you could possibly need (other than a bath) including a heated hand towel rack - luxury! The shower was excellent with lots of water pressure. Housekeeping was great, rooms were very clean. Breakfast was pleasant, and we were offered ham and cheese toasties if we wanted it which went down very well! No cooked breakfasts (ie no eggs/bacon etc but these are relatively rare in Italy anyway and we didn't mind the good continental spread. There wasn't a whole heap of room for our clothes but we live out of a suitcase anyway on our travels so it wasn't too bad. There was a TV but we never used it, but we did use the handy inroom safe. One major complaint is having to pay for Wifi - no other B&B we stayed in around Italy charged for this and I do not understand why we had to either. I personally would have liked access to a computer but it was not offered - I don't know if it was available, we didn't see one that guests could use.
On the slightly more negative side, to give as complete a review as possible, I was a little surprised to find someone - a pleasant gentleman I think called Fabio if I recall correctly (sorry!) - running the B&B though as all my email dealings, (and this B&B could at times be a little slow to respond and I often had to follow up), were with someone called Eleanore (Fabio told us that is his wife) but there is no information on the website that I could find to indicate he would be our host and not her. I think this could perhaps be made clear and I also think the website could do with a bit of a rejig as it is not very appealing. I don't know that I would have booked the place based on the website had the Tripadvisor reviews not been so glowing. Just a thought.
I also would have liked to understand more clearly from the website that this B&B is not manned at all after around 12 noon. That does affect my choice of where to stay. I prefer B&Bs where there is someone on site more rather than less of the time and this was not the case here, although to be fair to this B&B, when we arrived, and there was noone there to meet us because of a mix up with our arrival times on their part, they were most apologetic and Fabio was there within about 7 minutes to let us in.
Sometimes also we got the impression that at the end of a long tourist season, that whilst pleasant most of the time, Fabio was a little tired as occasionally he seemed to be a little impatient with us. Quite understandable, it's hard work running a B&B but as a result, I felt a bit unsure whether to bother him with questions about this and that - which made me a bit uncomfortable and a bit annoyed because there was a lot I wanted to ask, and in the end, I did not ask everything. Also, whilst we were assured that our luggage would be kept securely on the day we checked out but left our luggage there as we had a late departure to Florence, it ended up just being left in the hallway, where any other guest could have had access to it should they have so chosen. I would have preferred a locked room. But all in all, we enjoyed this place and would recommend it.

If you read all the other five star reviews for 3C, they pretty much say it all! For the price, this has got to the best place to stay in Venice! Excellent location, so much appreciated the quietness after the crowds of Venice, and yet it was central to everything. Everything was spotless, the breakfast was very nice, more than enough to keep us going for the day. There was always a jug of water, a bowl of fruit and jars of cookies available..and some delicous fruit candies!
While our room felt a little small with three beds, it was all we needed..but the bathroom was large. We noticed that other rooms were larger, so it would be best to ask for a larger room if there are more than 2 people travelling.
Fabio is an excellent host, and made us feel very welcome!

Room Tip: If there are more than three people in your party ask for one of the large room. All rooms are very...
