I found out about this restaurant on line. It has no view, no music, no service [you order from the counter] and it only serves lunch, but the wines were delicious and the food was beautiful. We loved it and came twice. It is a place for locals - all the food is fresh, lovely open faced sandwiches. Since I have been home I have been trying to make sandwiches like the ones served there. It is not easy to find but if you go to the open air fresh market and ask, someone will probably help you. Cross the Rialto bridge and walk about 3 blocks and then turn left.
