On a recent visit to Venice we stopped by this little place expecting a little more variety in the way of cicchetti. What they do have is very nice but not exceptional. The atmosphere is great and its a nice respite from the cold to just have a glass of wine and some snack. I wouldn't suggest having lunch here as the variety isn't vast and its a traditional Cicchetti bar, so no where to sit. But for something a bit different, its quite good.

Just steps from the Rialto fish market, this little bar satisfies in every way including friendly patient service in a joyous atmosphere of eating and drinking. Be sure to try the "baccala mantecato" with or without garlic; it is a codfish aioli typical in the Veneto and better than it sounds...in fact it is habit forming so if you like fish you'll love it. Our recent visit was after January 1 when the fishermen are on holiday but All'Arco managed to come up with some good alternatives including a focaccia with marinated eggplant, cheese and prosciutto and cichetti with radicchio of Treviso. Simple, creative and friendly....have a party.

Really cool little place for some cicheti. Busy spot so you may not get a window sill or table outside but the people working here are all very friendly and helpful. They were quite low on food when we got here, but what we tried was very nice

Our first 'chicetti' experience and so much fun. Delicious octopus, fresh sardines and scrumptios prosecco. It's well worth the scrum to get past the locals.
