“If you are in Padova you must see this”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

History! You must see this is if you are here. This is like seeing the Sistine chapel or the last supper in Milano. You shouldn't miss this if u can.

“4 minutes short”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Booked the 20 minutes evening visit, got chased out at 16 minutes.
The whole procedure with the decontamination is a big show, hassle for nothing. It wasn't fully booked at all.
I liked the baptistery (duomo) just as much and you could stay as long as you like.
Ok, it is worth the visit. But they should give you more time.

“A view of Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

It was a lifelong dream to see this tiny chapel with its exquisite Giotto frescoes. Knowing that one is allowed only 15 minutes within the chapel, I booked twice in an afternoon, with a few hours in between. You have to sit through a video presentation first, so that the entire visit is 30 minutes altogether. It was a very happy 30 minutes for me! There are museums of ancient artifacts and a painting collection included in the ticket, but the real gem is Giotto, with his glowing humanism, the beginning of a new age of art. It's useful to have a guide book showing every fresco, because you can't see everything on the higher levels, and it is good to have a review of the details. The whole experience of being enclosed within his vision was what mattered to me, and you can't get that from a book. It was an intimate communication with the great master of the early 12th century.

Very important to reserve in advance.

“An incredible experience worth repeating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

We visited the chapel twice in two days. Once during the day, and once on Sunday evening when the hours are longer. Make time for the multimedia experience before the visit. It will enhance your viewing. Take opera glasses or binoculars to see the detail more closely.
The use of color to add dimension is incredible. This is an experience worth a visit to Padua.

“Lots of ancient frescoes and interesting museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013 via mobile

We were reserved tickets in advance (it's strongly recommend to make at least 24 hours before). Visit lasts for 30 minutes: 15 minutes in a separate building next to the chirch, listening to a lection on TV, than 15 minutes in the chirch. Than you can go to a museum of ancient artefacts and numerous pictures (on tge 2nd floor-don't miss it!) with the same ticket.
