“unexpected open space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Staying in Venice for a few days we decided to invest a few hours in a visit to Padua which is only 30 mins away by train. The whole place is fabulous, you walk straight down from the train station and eventually come to the old town. Lovely narrow streets some of which lead to amazing open spaces like this one. The day we were there there was a big market going on so it was busy, the park in the centre has some amazing statues which are worth a look at. If you're exhausted from over sightseeing you can just chill out in the park with a drink or a picnic!!!

“A spot to people watch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

It was great to find a bit of shade on a hot day. There are many benches or if you want you can stretch out on the grass. It seems that many people will make this a stop when visiting Padova. The fountain is a popular picture taking spot with everyone. There were a couple cooling off in the fountain!

“Bliss.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

I love this place.

Living here for 6 months I've had an opportunity to do a lot of things. For me, this is one of the need to see/do things. Simply great!

Markets on Saturday morning, pure smooth skating peacefulness, and always busy. A great place for young people to meet, greet and hang out. Lovely for everyone, and a magnificent fountain at the centre. Views of the basilicas in Padova.

“Splendid spacious square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

This is one of those musts when visiting Padua, (as it is so scenic. The statues of famous men all around the square, the lovely old houses, (including a famous drogheria on the corner which sells just about everything), the little market in the mornings all add up to loads of atmosphere. Don't froget to buy a Santo cake when going on into town- delicious!

“Wonderful green square amidst the town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

A great place to sit and relax in the evening with the setting sun and cool breeze. This place has a soul of its own and very popular with the locals.
