“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

It is one of the most beautiful monuments I have seen so far in Italy! Even more beautiful that some other basilica you can find in bigger cities!

Must be seen!

“Active site for believers, interesting for the non-affiliated observer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

I was impressed by the number of people touching St. Anthony's mausoleum. The church has many artistic treasures but gives a real insider look at the tradition of relics. The workmanship of the reliquaries makes one understand the perceived importance of these traditions.

“Impressive building, bigger treat to see Sunday worshippers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

The building is very, very impressive, though the reliquary is embarrassing to me as a believer. Sunday morning brought interesting crowd of African Catholics singing and dancing before going into worship! That is how religion should be, and I am sure St. Anthony was pleased!

“Must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Basilica is still under repair (May 2013) which blocks much of what you want to see.

St. Anthony was fabulous! Quite frankly one of the most beautiful churches I've seen. Do not miss it if you are in Padua!

“Basilica OK, St Antony great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

The basilica is immense, and, at the moment, undergoing restoration. There are many more churches which are more beautiful and interesting, although the cloisters are charming. The main interest is to see St. Antony's tomb and the relics, including his 'uncorrupted' tongue. Fascinating!
