I hesitate to assign any particular restaurant the title of 'Best Meal'. There is so much variability and another person may have a different experience. However, after careful thought, our assessment was that our meal at this Enoteca was simply exceptional. We had many good meals in our month in Italy and a few very good ones and only one that was really poor. This is a Rick Steeves recommendation and likely we would never have found it if not for the guide book. Their specialty is lasagna and I suggest that you order that. Mine was white asparagus as it was in season and my husband's was mushroom.Both were amazingly good. I do not have a sophisticated wine palate but I have to say that the pairings Anna made for these two dishes were exceptional. A bit of fine chocolate with cherry & espresso was our finish and she poured lemoncello. How did you find us she asked.They had no idea they were in Steeve's guide book. They did not even know who Rick Steeves was. Chef came out to view with Anna their entry in the guide book with surprise and pleasure. They are a delight.
