“It is good to be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2012

After a very deceiving experience with Club Med in Otranto (HORRIBLE !) we were a bit reluctant to go back to any Village; eventually we booked a ski trip in Cervinia, where we already stayed 3 times. With the exception of the last time (Two years ago) we always have found a GREAT place to stay and to enjoy one of the most beautiful ski resorts. As a matter of fact the possibility of skiing in both Cervinia and Zermatt, always “dominated” by the magnificent MATTERHORN, is already a very fulfilling experience per se.
We were assigned a room in the Cristallo section of the village, a room not yet updated to the new concept, but pretty big, with a window offering a breathtaking view of the Matterhorn and the Glacier of Plateu Rosà. The bathroom was very big with a much appreciated big thub.
The check-in formalities were completed in no more than 10 minutes: considering that we arrived together with everyone else, this was pretty impressive (Otranto should learn from this!)
And then, all the week was nothing else but enjoying ourselves, with no problems at all.
The Buffet was just incredible: everyday something new, done with care, local products and international ones, great desserts and very efficient cleaning service. Cristiano and Emmanuele run the kitchen with an exquisite taste and professionalism and love to show you around the different dishes and to explain how everything is made. Put this together with the fact that all the pasta, pizza dough and bread are homemade and you obtain a fantastic combination.
The sommelier is always ready to give you tips on the à-la-carte wines and she hosted a few classes on enology allowing guest to discover the local wines.
The people at the bar were very efficient and able to serve a very demanding clientele always with a smile
At the ski-service we were welcomed by Niccolo’, a ski instructor himself, who was able to provide us witht the best tips and suggestion.
The head of the village, Antonio, was always there, available to answer questions and to make sure everyone had a great time.
WE enjoyed very much our ski instructor, Mirko: he showed us around the big ski area and gave us precious tips to improve our ski style and technique.
Again, this was the perfect week we expect from Club Med, where you want to be pampered and have fun. We will be back next year for the 5th time.

Stayed here the first week of March on our first Club Med holiday. It was quite expensive and I therefore expected more. The bathrooms, whilst in good condition are very dated in their style and showering during the evening the water would go from hot to cold to hot again. The orange and brown carpet throughout the common areas does nothing either along with the smoke that can be smelt across the bar from the smoking room. So those are the negatives however many, many positives. Excellent food, brilliant staff and wonderful Mini Club. All the staff are extremely welll trained and simply can't do enough for their customers. Yes I will do Club Med again however not in Cervinia, well at least not until they remodel.

we have just returned from our 1st club med experience.
it was absolutely fabulous. from the proffesionalism of the hotel staff, caring and sensitive child care to the hotel position itself. Just a short mini bus ride to the lifts and and a ski run back to the hotel which all ability of skiers in our group could handle.
The arrival was very organised and we were channeled through the myriad of corridors to our rooms, which were huge, clean and well upkept.
the food was plentiful, varied and, for mass catering, very good. the service of all the staff was top notch, the staff's language abilities put our inability to shame!
loads to do in the hotel if the weather prevented going out.
we were a group of 15 and it was no trouble to make room for us to sit together in the dining room.
if i had to find a fault with our trip, i would say there wasnt quite enough ski instructors so the groups were quite large with a variety of abilities, but we mentioned this to the lead ski instructor and as if by magic another ski instructor appeared.
oh and our room was @1/6th of a mile away from the main building, so we tried to never forget to leave anything behind in the room. it was peaceful though!
we're definately going back. we wish tomorrow!

Last December2011, my family and I went for a skiing trip in Italy and we stayed at club Med Cervinia Italy., I had horrible experience in this so called famous resort known as Club Med Breuil Cervinia, Italy. There were 6 rooms and 6 safes were stolen. The whole safe in my room (room 2001) was stolen and yanked out from the wardrobe. I was so shocked ... Is this what you called your resort as 4 Trident Premium Resort???? After the incident happened, the management of club med Cervinia Italy couldn't care less. No offers of help was mentioned except for bringing us to the police station to made a report. After the burglary , the management did not even bother to change the room for us, we were so insecure to sleep in the room and have to barricade the door and protect ourselves.

The chief village claimed of 20 yrs experience in the hospitality line did not think of advancing money to fellow victims who were continuing their journey to elsewhere in Europe before going home, knowing fully well that our credit cards were cancelled and cash stolen. Terrible.. Terrible... I will not go back to any Club Med.. This is such a disgraceful resort ! ! !

Imagine your room safebox ripped from your room on Christmas night,no break in noticed.,management asked you to fill insurance form and cancel credit cards.and Antonio Di Razza GM with 28 years experience said he would look into the matter...thats it.....Luckily all the six rooms that was robbed of safety boxes were found with passports intact in a vacant room...missing valuables of course...no cctv....no assurance of our safety.simpathy, slept that night in same room with heavy objects against the room to door....the children of us victims asked....is the boogie man coming again!!! complained to HQ no respond.....you decide????

welcome was good, this was our first time in a club med hotel it was brilliant as this was a holiday to learn snowboarding every thing was included lessons lift passes etc so we had no extra costs except our evenings down in cervinia village which isn't expensive for a bite to eat or a drink its easy to walk down but getting back up after a few took a bit longer, people in resort and village were lovely, our snowboard instructor Gerard ottavio was very good and had loads of patience and knew all the best places for beginners thanks, will defiantly go back. food was good in hotel rooms comfy but would upgrade to room that's a bit larger than a club room next time. pool and spar were very nice this hotel had every thing you could want from a winter hol whether skiing snowboarding or just resting enjoying the views we even went out on snow doos which is a must another must is to go up to the boarder with Switzerland and have a snack in the restaurant and admire the views. we went in 2009 and have since been to two other club meds, val d Isere, and saint morize nether were as go as Cervinia

Room Tip: up grade from a club room

This was my first time skiing in Europe and also my first time staying at a Club Med. It was great. Cervinia is a very good place to sky, although it may get very windy sometimes (note that this is not a problem at all when you are on the chair lifts, since they have a removable plastic bubble that keeps all the wind out - a great device that I would also like to see in other ski resorts). We did get two fantastic days of sun, which were great and allowed us to ski from Italy to Switzerland (we had lunch at Zermatt - very nice). I don`t know if it was the week that we were there, but there were no lines at the lifts at all. Lots of beginners and intermediate runs. People wanting some challenge had to go off-piste (Cervinia is actually a very good place for those that are learning to ski or snowboard). One of the differences that I felt with regard to north-american ski resorts was the low number of snowboarders. In the US I feel that it is 50% boarders and 50% skiers. In Cervinia, only about 10% or 20% were boarders. I don`t know if this pattern repeats in other European ski resorts.
I liked the hotel a lot. The room was very good, although the shower area - like most European hotels - was a bit small for my taste. The food was very, very good, and abundant. The restaurant is a buffet style restaurant and very large, but at the same time very welcoming. I did not use the pool, but I heard that it was not very hot at all. I also did not go to the sauna, but I heard that you had to pay extra (if I recall correctly, 12 euros per day). The one thing that I missed was a hottub. There is a van that goes to downtown Cervinia every 5 or 10 minutes, but you can also walk there - 10 minutes. We had dinner in Cervinia one night - it was ok but not great.
The hotel is ski-in but not ski-out. In order to get to a lift, you have to take the hotel`s van to downtown Cervinia and from there board a gondola. Coming back, however, there is a run that goes almost to the front door of the hotel.
