“A week's skiing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

My wife and I plus my two grown up daughters stayed for a week in March and had a fantastic time.
This is a chic modern hotel which had been decorated with great taste and attention to detail. The rooms are well designed and comfortable. Nice shower rooms Occitane products. All really well cleaned.
The staff were very helpful from top to bottom everyone appeared really happy and part of the organisation.
The ski in ski out location was really good (not forbeginners). There is a staff member available all the time to take guests into town at their request.
The spa is wonderful dark and relaxining pool and sauna/steam room. All in stone. We all used the chill out room of the spa every day. They provided coffee table books magazianes and teas.
The outdoor pool was by the lively après ski bar and only our daughters used that.
The bar is set out like a comfortable sitting room so you can sit in relaxed environment prior to dinner or at any other time. Canapés are put on the side for the guests to nibble.
The dining room was 'damask and good wine glasses' however this is the only area in which we thought there could have been improvement. The presentation was quite sophisticated and we all really felt they should simplify and rebalance their menu, concentrating on the wonderful italian mountain ingredients which to some extent can stand on their own. English breakfast was individually cooked to order.
3D cinema really fun.
In all a really comfortable elegant little hotel.

This is the first time (of many) where picking a top rated hotel in Tripadvisor didn’t ensure a top class experience. Don’t get me wrong, the hotel is very nice and located beautifully on the slope (ski in and out), the after-ski terrace is sunny and beautiful, the bar, restaurant and food very nice and all the many young people working at the hotel are friendly – although not always especially competent. However we have two significant issues with this hotel, each reducing the score by one “star”. The first is that it is highly overpriced. Two years ago we stayed at the Excelsior Planet a bit further down the slope, and it was almost half price but with much better food, rooms and service (last year in another valley even cheaper and still better). The second issue is the standard rooms. They are not only “less” than you would expect from a hotel in this price range – they are by all standards unattractive. Very small, extremely hot (located over the spa-area), no windows to open but only a glass door leading to a small public road where skiers pass looking directly into the room, a 3 meter brick wall on the other side of the road as the only view (in Excelsior Planet we looked at the mountains and Matterhorn instead).

Last year, I stopped at this hotel for apreski and was surprised by the style and mood of this place! At the same evening in the restaurant I was surprised by the quality of meals which are prepared by local chef! This April, I stopped at this hotel for a week and have not regretted a single minute of it! Every morning at breakfast, the hotel staff met with a kind smile, a friendly little dog Laсky wagged its tail)))) and after a good breakfast, you are finally waking up on the track, descends directly from hotel to the lift! After good skiing, you'll get an open terrace with great music, fun people and an outdoor swimming pool! In the evening you can relax in the spa, and finish it the perfect dinner, chating with James and Christie's who are always friendly and always welcome guests. I am very glad that once I opened this hotel for my self, and will return there again and again! By the way, heard that they're going to build a new building! I wish good luck to guys with the new Projects, I am confident that such an attitude to business as they have a new building of the Principe Delle Nevi gather a lot of great feedback! Thanks to All for the fantastic rest!!! Aleks*

stayed here for three days in february for skiing weekend.
flew out from dublin to turin. hotel was about 1 hour 30 mins drive from turin.
what a hotel . the best ski hotel i have ever stayed in.
located on the pistes. excellent food. modern. classy . stylish. pool . jacuzzi. spa etc.
what more could you want ?!
we never visit the same place twice but i could honestly make this my permananet venue for skiing in the future.
the skiing area offered by cervinia and zermatt was huge and of excellent standard.
some people might see the room rate and think its expensive but worth every penny. especially considering it includes breakfast and dinner.

We stayed in the hotel in April, everything was perfect the atmosphere in the hotel, the staff the room are beautifully designed the food was excellent and best thing we got allot of snow in April.
The Hotel is located on ski slopes just above the town so it is located great for ski in/out, the spa is amazing with everything you can think off sauna’s indoor and outdoor pool relaxing area Jim and more...
But more than anything we want to thank the owners James and Kristin for creating such and amazing friendly and chillout atmosphere it was one of the best vacation ever for us .

If you appreciate exceptional service, wines and good food and laid back atmosphere this is for you. highly recommended

I was so surprised to read a recent review criticising the food at the Principe as myself and my family have just enjoyed a fantastic week in March with Michelin standard food every day.The hotel is excellent in every way - location , friendly helpful staff , the apres ski bar and terrace , the pools . the spa and outside jacuzzi , and the wonderful dinners !! ( thanks to the pastry chef too for the fantastic birthday cake )
We all agreed it was the best skiing holiday ever - a big thank you to James , Kristin and their staff for making it so.
