“Great place but watch out for Internet charges”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

This hotel is located on a sunny hillside with stunning views of the mountains. It is incredibly clean and comfortable. There is lots to do and our family especially liked the infinity pool and eating breakfast on the terrace overlooking the moutains. We were here to golf, hike and white water raft.

Our only negative experience effected my 16 year old son. He wanted some wireless Interent for his I-Touch. We were told the cost was 6euro per hour but we were not told that the system did not work too well with Apple devices. As a result when my son closed his browser, the billing continued and he was nailed with a 100euro bill. The hotel was unwilling to budge. At 400euro a night for the room I think Internet should be free in the first place.

Room Tip: The road can be VERY noisy with traffic, if you are a light sleeper you may want to consider a room...

We were staying at Alpenflora during skiing holidays for the second time and it was even better than the first time.
Check in was fast and efficient even with changing our minds about what room we want. A garage is a new addition, so the cars are not covered with snow in the morning, but it is not best suited for big cars, especially with some guests who did not know how to park in just one space. Rooms are nice, all wood, although in some rooms floors were damaged, probably with people walking in them in skiing shoes. We did miss shoe heaters to dry our shoes each nigt.
Two of the best parts of staying in this hotel is excellent food and wellness area. Breakfast was an enormous buffet, with freshly baked breads, fresh juices, different meats and cheeses, home made marmelades, anything you could think of. But we always looked foward to dinner, with choice of several dishes each night, all of them extremelly tasty. The chef recomended wines each night. Some nights there were theme nights like Italian or Tyrolean dishes, or we were surprised with desert wines at the end of the evening.
The second best thing is expanded wellness area with aditional saunas, salt jacuzzi, hay beds and to top it all an infinity pool, open even in winter with water temperature around 33 degres C. And a vin brule party at the terrace and in the pool in the middle of our stay made us even bigger fans of the pool and hotel.
All the staff is very profesional and friendly. We also liked a transfer the hotel provided to the nearest ski slope, about ten minutes away by car and another 15 minutes by cablecar. At our return, there was a hot soup, some kind of hot meat, and fruits and cakes to help us wait until dinner. We all plan to return if not before, for the next skiing hollidays.
