“Perfect hotel to visit Torino”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago via mobile

The hotel is lotated near the rail ans metro station "Stazione Di Porta Nuova". Big rooms, big bathroom with jacuzzi and a good continental breakfast. Nice bar and friendly reception. The hotel is located a few minutes walking from city center. Restaurants are nearby. Tourist office in front of Porta Nuova.

Noisy, overlooking the train station. Convenient location in a not so nice block of the inner city. However, many good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Breakfast was very nice, a plus- with hot eggs, cheeses, meats, fruits, yoghurt, juices and cakes, with a choice of coffees served to the table.
Parking with the hotel (otherwise a nightmare) is available at 20EU a day.

Desk staff was helpful with questions and in making/calling in our dinner reservations which was appreciated.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the train station (loud, early in the morning)

A good central hotel close to porta Nuevo station, but in a very cosmopolitan and typically near-station area. Room was fine, but our package included a so-called " keys to the city package" which wax not in the room when we arrived. We have had these useful packages previously ANC they have always been available on arrival in the room. When asked about tHis, reception told us to pick up a 24 hour transport pass the next morning and all other items would be placed in the room. However, this was not done and we had to ask against reception, when we were told we could pick up ute other items later in the day. On return in the afternoon, nothing had been done and after asking again we were presented with a small bottle of water in a paper bag, hurriedly fetched from the bar.
Tea and coffee supplies were not replenished daily.
Reception and bar staff were generally sullen and not greatly helpful or welcoming.
However, breakfast was good and the waiter was very friendly
Overall the hotel is not up to the normal Mercure standards that we have always received and we can only rate it as average.

Room Tip: Rooms at the read are quieter, since via Nizza and the adjoining railway station can generate noise.

We wanted a central hotel, a good night's sleep and a decent breakfast for a few nights to explore lovely Turin. That's exactly what we got! We came by car so be aware there is limited (pay for) parking at the hotel at the rear down a narrow street and very narrow gates, otherwise on road parking which has to be paid for. For rail travellers it is very near the main station.
Good clean room with good facilities and comfortable bed. Adequate breakfast. Location suited us really well as we could easily walk and explore the very interesting city on foot. Plenty of good restaurants nearby to suit all pockets and tastes.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

The hotel is conveniently located near the Puerto Nuove train station and is at the edge of the city centre. We had a classical room at the 5th floor (under the roof), which was spacious and clean. The room has an airco, but it is quite noisy. The bathroom was spacious and has a jacuzzi bath (its a pitty that Turin's water is heavily chlorinated). The room has a small fridge. Free WiFi is available. The breakfast is just average and the scrambled eggs seem to be made in the microwave. The service by the staff is good and friendly.
The value for money was very good, because of the package deal (3=2 and breakfast included).
Parking is not available at the hotel. One is referred to a private underground parking one block away. You have to be prepared to leave your car keys in the hands of the parking garage, because they move the cars during their stay. And the people only speak Italian.

Dear Guest,
we thank you for the time spent for your kind review.
We are glad to read that you enjoyed your stay in our hotel, nevertheless we express our apologies for the noisy airco.
With reference to the parking place it is true that we do only have few places in the court of the hotel, we will be glad to keep a place for you for your next stay in our hotel.
We hope to see you again the next time, in the meanwhile please accept our best regards.

This hotel has an excellent location, close to the huge and useful Turim Puorta nova train station. Although the station movement causes a bit of external trouble - people, transit, etc. - one can ask for a quiet room and never face any problem. The hotel is also close to very nice Turim touristic attractions. The bedroom was a bit small, TV was not so good and the air conditioning flow was direct over the bed, and couldn´t be moved.

Room Tip: Choose a quite room. Be patient to connect to Internet. Design a good schedule to visit Turim main a...
