“Big rooms!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

A quite modern and fresh hotel. The lobby area is welcoming and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is above average and can be enjoyed outside in the backyard.

Had a big (very big!) room with all the necessary commodities. The AC was a bit too noisy.

Located steps from the metro, and one stop from the Turin train station. Room is small and the twin size bed is only 28 inches wide which is smaller than the north american standard. Hotel looby has lounge area with contemporary decor and comfy chairs with flat screen tv. Free coffee, tea and soda drinks at the lobby. Breakfast has limited hot items but has juicer which you can make your own fresh vegetable juice which help us to start our day. Limited selection of hot items.
Hotel staff very helpful.

We stayed here recently and discovered the hotel is refurbishing two main areas off the reception (though we never actually saw any activity so perhaps these plans have stalled) which make the entrance to the hotel look pretty untidy - it's otherwise quite a smart and modern building. When we arrived there was a wet towel on the floor propping the main entrance door open, which didn't really create a great first impression. The rooms themselves are very small but very clean and comfortable (the Housekeeping staff do an excellent job). I would class this as a standard chain business hotel - it doesn't have any bells and whistles but would make an excellent base for travellers, providing a comfortable night's sleep and free wifi. The hotel's major plus is its great staff. All the reception staff and the staff serving breakfast were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient and really made us feel welcome in Turin (as did all the Torinese). One thing to consider is that the hotel is some distance from the historic centre - right down the other side of Porta Nuova railway station (you do hear the trains but that was fine). It is about a 30 minute walk to Piazza Castello, which you don't always feel like tackling after a long day's sightseeing. The staff advised us to take the tram (the stop is 5-10 minutes away) or the metro. We used the tram as it allowed us to observe the scenery, but if you want a hotel that is in the middle of things you should probably look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Street-facing rooms get quite a lot of noise from traffic and people out at night but then the other...

All the other reviewers are right about the positives of this hotel.

My only warnings are very tight parking on the lower level + it costs extra, so does the exercise room. If you are a light sleeper request a room AWAY from the train station side of the hotel. In May there was only Heat, no Cool on the Air Conditioning, so we needed the windows open. That made it quite noisy at night.

Everything else was very nice, staff, rooms, breakfast, (Moscato on the breakfast bar!) location down the street from the train station convenient. Would recommend Giampy across the street for dinner. Loved it several times!

Room Tip: As I mentioned, try to get a room far away from the train station side of the hotel. Noisy.

It is not a Classic Best western hotel: it is a upscale international hotel with a strong personality. Great location from walking distance to the train station. Front desk person very willing to help with directions and recommendations. Very good vary of tasty items for breakfast at no extra charge. City center is one metro stop away-taking two minutes to walk to metro from hotel or ten minutes to main street Roma on foot.Wifi reliable

Well appointed, modern and clean room with Amazing shower! Huge in European standards. Would go back for sure!

it was a great stay during my business trip to Turin, hotel 7-10 minutes walking to/from Giaveno train station and shuttle bus to airport, staff are friendly, room 606 is a business suit full of all my needs, room space is good comparing to many Italian hotels, new furnish. Internet is free and with a good speed.
I tried breakfast only one time and it was normal with limited varsities.
the location is nice with many bars and restaurants.

Room Tip: higher floor, I suggest room 606

Just had a long weekend break in Turin. The hotel staff were very friendly, the room was spacious, comfortable, imaculately clean, tea and coffe in the room. The breakfast was absolutlety fantastic as all reviews state. Centrally located within walking distance. The surrounding area looks a bit rough with graffiti but there is grafiti everywhere in Turin. Some nice bars and restaurants close by. Would recommend this hotel. One bit of advice, thought I would get the train from the airport to Puerto Nova train station within 5 minutes walk but ended up at a different station and had to get a short taxi to the hotel. One the way back Sunday morning got a taxi direct to the airport on meter € 32 and well worth avoiding the hastle. Get a 2 day tourismo pass for € 26 which allows you into all museums well worth it loved the Turin Shroud, Egyptian, Military, Mao museums and the film museum with the best view of the city. Hope this has been helpful.
