Turin's Egyptian museum has a massive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts that also extends through the Roman and early Coptic periods. There is lots of information on the displays although a few of the writings have not yet been translated from Italian. Spare a couple of hours if ancient Egypt interests you. When I visited in April 2013, the exterior of the building was undergoing restoration but this did not seem to have much effect inside the museum save that we had to use a rather indirect route around the exhibits.
