“Best bed ever and close to train station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

We booked this hotel because it was close to the train station and because it was very well priced for a quick over night stay on our way to Capri. What a surprise! A quaint treeded courtyard was a peaceful and welcome place to enjoy a free all day tea and coffee whilst our room was being made up.
The elevator was a blast from the past and worth a photo. There was no wardrobe but for 1 night that didn't worry us.
The room was basic at first glance but brightly painted. Our window overlooked the courtyard. Definitely not 5 star but the bathroom was very modern (glass basin on glass pedestal) and it was clean.
The bed was the best we have slept on in our entire stay in Italy (much better than our $300 per night hotel on Isle of Capri!)
Breakfast was great.
Despite having the central station opposite, it was very quite in the hotel.
The hop on hop off bus was opposite the park around the corner from the hotel and there were excellent eating options within 100 meters.
Highly recommend this hotel for its convenient location and comfortable bed and much more affordable than other neighboring hotels.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of little Euro trip and found the hotel to be very good.
We walked from Torino Porta Susa station and it took less than 20 minutes to reach the hotel.
Check in was quick and friendly and we went up to our room using the small lift which we never had a problem with but used the stairs a lot as well. Our first impressions of the room were that it was big and airy. The bathroom was a good size but I think the toilet should of been up-graded to match the rest of the suite but it worked so was fine lol
The bed was comfy and we slept fine although the air con did help as it was very warm at night.
We had breakfast included and this was a simple continental buffet which was adequate to set up for the day ahead. We asked for a map of the city from the guy on reception and this wasn't a problem he marked where the hotel was for us which was a help.
If we ever return to Turin then we would definately consider staying here again.

My wife and I stayed here in Oct 2012. I selected it because of its close proximity to the bus to the airport as we had a very early departure the next day. I should have paid more attention to the Tripadvisor reviews because it was a poor choice. The room was VERY small - I may have outlandish expectations as a North American regarding hotel room size but this place was a fraction of the room we had in Munich at the Arthotel. It was relatively dirty, the TV was in poor condition, the air conditioning was not great. AND the bathroom - again maybe I have outlandish expectations as a Canadian but my parents had a bidet bigger than the bathtub in this room. It was not suitable to stand in to shower given the curtain design and where the nozzle was located - you would need a very esoteric engineering degree to identify the position you required to properly bath. The "closet" was a few open shelves. There is essentially no privacy from the hall when you open the door - the bed is right there. The elevator required careful maneuvering to get me, my wife and two bags into. Staff were not very conversant in english (unreasonable Canadian expectations??). The "concierge" storage room for luggage was not really secure and our luggage was visible and easily accessible to others if they accessed their bags (there really was no "concierge"). The lobby is realy a relatively narrow hall in which folks sit trying to get their phones and the wifi to connect. The redeeming features were its location to the airport bus across from the train station and its proximity to the touristy area between Corso San Maurizio and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. We left the hotel around 5am and nothing was available for breakfast at the hotel. The front of the hotel is on a busy street especially tram traffic so you hear the rumble and pedestrians quite easily and most of the evening. Lastly, I think the name of the hotel we booked and the name on the marquee over the door do not match so be aware - i think I had discovered this through Tripadvisor before we left Canada.

Room Tip: Do not chose a room on the front side - lots of tram and pedestrain noise all night.

Staff had limited English and one particular member was quite rude when I asked for a few ice cubes to cool a glass of amaretto. Spoilt the whole Torino experience.

Breakfast was lovely and rooms were quaint. However showers were minuscule - the smallest I have ever seen.

Location is central but parking a nightmare.

Friendly efficient staff, great location for train station, shopping and city sights. Perfect for a short city stay. Problem with old lift becuase users forget to clkose the door properly when they have used the lift so it gets stuck!
And the bathroom could do with a decent shower and better lighting. But overall perfectly OK and we will use this hotel again.

The Hotel's location is GREAT! Everything is clean and well kept, wireless works everywhere, the staff is polite and helpful. Colors, furniture and over all decoration is different and stylish. Over-all, it seems to offer everything it promises.

However, the hotel has some important problems:
1. the rooms have the tinniest bathrooms you ever saw!!! You cannot sit on the toilet the way you're supposed to because your knees don't fit in the crowded space, the shower is tight even for a regular sized person (I believe an oversized person won't even be able to enter into it). İnstead of using this limited space effectively, they also placed a bidet, which crowds everything furthermore, and is not even usable, again because of tight spacing.

2. No closet, wardrobe or drawer in the rooms. There is a very simple wall hanger with a tiny shelf above it, and you are expected to hang all your clothes in the open, on this limited space.

3. The breakfast is very limited, and exactly the same every morning.

4. No safe, no fridge, no room service

Except for the bathroom, you can ignore many things, and enjoy the hotel if you're staying there for just a few days. But not recommended for more than 3 days (I stayed 8 nights). The fun decorative style of the hotel gets old very fast, and you get frustrated that they did not think more about functionality and less about style. And finally, it is stylishly overpriced and uncomfortable.
