“Service makes up for facilities' shortcomings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

For visitors coming from the airport or arriving by long-distance train to Turin, the location of the hotel is very convenient. The room is rather small but well fitted. I asked ahead of time for a room with a tub but was given one without. Despite this, the service I got is really good - they remember my face and name ;-) The breakfast area is rather small and limited during peak time and when the hotel is fully booked. I wouldn't mind staying again.

Very enjoyable stay in Turin. The hotel was great value for money, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, pleasant and attentive staff and central location. Just avoid rooms next to the lifts as other guests can be noisy!

This hotel is centrally located beside mainline railway station (not noisy) Porto Nuovo. It's within about 20 minutes walk of all the main sites in this delightful city via its arcades (so keeping dry). The hotel itself has Wifi and a PC available (used to print out my BA boarding passes). Breakfast is self-service buffet and Ok, nothing special but adequate. Our room on the top floor (5th) was comfortable with access to many English speaking channels (I accessed news and financial).

Room Tip: 5th floor is if want to climb out onto the little rooftop balcony (maybe frowned upon) - if you smok...

The hotel is really well located, near the train station and the city center. Said that, nothing more from the positive side to say. The hotel is old and really need to be refurnished. The shower is small and the breakfast is not complete, served in a small room. The price is to high for what is offered, but it's the regular price, in Torino.

Room Tip: Run away from the rooms in the front of the building, they are a little noisy because of the trains...

Stayed at this hotel for the last two days of our three and half week holiday touring northern Italy.
We found a warm welcome when we arrived and the room that was allocated to us was above what we were expecting. Large room with king size bed, table and chairs, exercise bike, Bathroom with both tub and shower.(room 524) Good selection buffet breakfast , both hot and cold. The hotel is located within walking distance of all the central attractions and many eateries for dinner in the evening.
The hotel also has a Spar which is free to hotel guest which has a Turkish bath massage pool, steam room and Sauna.
Also very close to the Metro and trams.
Would recommend this hotel to friends.

I use this Hotel when on business in Turin and want to be located in the City.
Pro's - Great staff, friendly atmosphere, clean, well located
Cons - The rooms are a little tired, Breakfast is average
Overall its a nice place to stay for a couple of days

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing out onto the street. The others are a bit dark

great breakfast that comes with the room and stays open till 10.30. One block from the train and bus station. a little dated but suited us perfectly.Bartender was was absolutely awesome, This guy did it all and all with a smile. he was an ex Jamaican that never lost his laid back attitude and is the hotels best asset. Lots of great places to eat, just across the street through the arches there is a place right there that has a roped area for sitting outside and specialize in mussels. REALLY worth checking out. If you just want a late night meal and aren't fussy, just outside the door on the right is a greasy spoon called Kabul Kabob. Awesome fried chicken, fries, and a donair, large beer for 12 euro. Can't get better, or cheaper.

Room Tip: Rm 446 was nice and big but some rooms were hit or miss for the airconditioning, so test the A/C, an...
