“best mexican place!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2012

The Restaurant has a beautiful and elegant atmosphere and the service was outstanding. We found very original versions of the Mexican Cuisine The food was surprisingly great. The Cochinta is the best pulled pork you'll ever have (and we love our pulled pork). Ambiance, service (The staff helped us with some suggestions of what to try) and especially food quality and presentation-it is the total package!

I would recommend Habanero if you are in Torino.
Exceptional value.

“Good for Italy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2011

It is a rather fine mexican and south-american oriented restaurant… for being in Northern Italy.
You get nachos and salsa at the beginning which is a nice touch, the wine list isn't ample but they had a very nice mexican syrah for a rather honest price (15€). Service is quite smiling even if booking one day in advance managed to get us a table in a dim-lit corner so that they could book every single seat in the place.
Nevertheless, the ambiance is particularly charming, dark and candle-lit, and has a kind of New-Yorkish feeling.
The food tastes healthy and genuine, but do not expect anything close to american mexican cuisine: it especially lacks the goopy feeling which you enjoy in salsa, guacamole, refried beans… (I actually haven't seen any guacamole on any plate).
Bottomline, it's good but do not expect anything like the mexican cuisine you get in the US. Which is what I was expecting. Duh.
