“Disapointed with everything there. Lyers”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

They were very nice to ask to leave a good review for them in the site you booked, and to offer you the dinner( extremely expensive, go somewhere around for better price quality).

I forgot one book in my room, they were no nice anymore, the option of mail it didnt exist(even if of course I was paying the mail) so just asked them to keep it for me until one friend would go to pick it cause It was a present and I wanted to have it, it could be long but my friend will go, cause He lives 100 km out and from time to time is going to Torino. My friend called some days ago and the book is not there anymore.

Thanks Anticco distretto, never again neither your rooms, nor your expensive restaurant and false smiles!!!

I'm sorry to have to say this, but this place did not cut it. The room was like a shabby yellow box with windows looking out on a brick wall and some scaffolding. The feel of the place was as if they chose the very cheapest products they could for the hotel: the saddest, cheapest toiletries in tiny, hard-to-open packets, and at breakfast it was if they went to the bargain basement and bought the cheapest possible products to give guests. Even the fruit was second-rate: mushy apple, orange that tasted like it was starting to ferment. The breakfast room was staffed by one very overworked woman who was struggling to keep up with the number of guests in her charge. Both days I had to go to the bar to seek out coffee, and the second day, the man making the coffee was so busy that he actually waved me away when I tried to order coffee. Really pretty bad. The people were friendly (except for the coffee guy) but the hotel is just not worth what they charged, in comparison to other places. Staying here cast a shadow on the first two days of my otherwise nice vacation in Italy. My other hotels were fine.

Room Tip: Do not go.

Stayed here for one night. Great location. Excellent psrking lot behind hotel which must be reserved prior to stay. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast selection. Close to many attractions. Clean comfortable room. It was very hot the night we stayed. Had an issue with the air conditioning but staff quickly provided a fan. AC problem was then resolved. No elevator to rooms but staff can assist with bags.very pleased with our stay

Despite being listed as a two star hotel. Antico Distretto was much more than I bargained for. Spotless clean spacious room. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was quite spacious. Breakfast was a low key affair, nothing near a four, five star but what the heck this was a two star after all. The small panini with salami or ham were good and the croissants were warm and fresh every morning of my stay. Choice of pear/ pineapple/ juice buffet style together with a limited choice of cakes and biscuits. But as I said before, this is a two star hotel not the Waldorf Astoria! The staff was very helpful. I arrived a bit earlier than check in time and since my room was still cleaned they offered me a better room instead, When I asked about wifi service tariffs the reception offered me 10 hrs of free wifi in my room. But above all the best thing about Antico Distretto is the fact that it is so very central. 2 minutes walk from Corso Gaibaldi, 15 minutes stroll from Piazza Castello and close at hand there's also Porta Susa train station. So if you want a cheap but a very reliable option regarding your lodging look no further than Hotel Antico Distretto.

If like you me your idea of a hotel is somewhere inexpensive where you can safely keep your belongings, get some sleep and a wash, and eat breakfast - so you can spend you money on other things - then this place is ideal.

Very good location - the airport bus will bring you Porta Susa railway station, from where the hotel is a ten-minute walk. Staff speak adequate English. Reception is open 24/7. Just ten minutes' walk to the main attractions in Turin.

There's plenty of hot water (eventually), and rooms are clean - towel changed every day. Breakfast is more generous than I'm used to in Italy, with ample choice of bread, pastries, fruit and juices. In the evening you can eat a three-course meal here too for just €18 - there's no menu as such; you'll just get a choice from what's available. But the standard of food is good - like you would get in someone's home. Recommended if you arrive at the hotel and don't want to start looking for a restaurant - although there are plenty of those nearby.

Walls are a bit thin, so if the next room has the TV on till late you will hear it! But that was a minor inconvenience. I would certainly stay here again another time, and recommend this venue as a very convenient, inexpensive place to stay.
