“One of the best Hotel in Torino !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

I was very satisfied about the room, about the service and cleanliness. If you are couple, in my opinion you definitely must check this hotel. It's cute and it's worth it because the rooms has almost anything you need (even for a small family).

Room Tip: Rooms from last floor are quieter.

Our experience of this hotel was generally good, but for every aspect there was a 'but'. The room was very spacious and clean, and it was nice to have two TVs (one by the bed), but the bathroom was very small. The decor and furniture was modern and trendy, but we would have preferred it to be more traditional and comfortable, though we slept well enough. The small kitchen would be very useful to self-caterers, but we weren't.

Other reviews praised the staff and service highly, and at best - when the endlessly helpful lady with the brilliant English who gave us lots of good advice was on reception - they were excellent; but there were other times when reception staff, though willing, had difficulty either understanding or answering our questions. The Star cafe a few doors down the street which was recommended to us for breakfast was fine when open, but 2 mornings out of our 4 it was shut (on the Sunday because it always shuts on Sunday, on the Saturday with no reason given). And the price of the breakfast was more than the hotel's card said it would be, though still very reasonable.

The location was our biggest disappointment. We had thought, from reading other reviews and looking at the map, that this hotel was very near the historic centre of Turin which we intended to spend most of our time exploring. But because of the need to go a long way round Porta Susa station, it was at least a 30 minute walk, reducing the amount of walking one has the energy to do when one gets there. We tried taking the bus, which was OK when it came quickly, but once we had to wait 20 minutes for it. The best and fastest option was to take the metro to Porta Nuova, but even that took 25 minutes because of the walk the other end. We will stay somewhere nearer the Centro next time.

For 2 adults and 2 yr old child we booked a pricier large 45 m2 studio with separate or upstairs bedroom.
we ended up in a regular( @ 20 m2) double room with a baby bed.
only after our complaint the hotel acknowledged some " discription/ translation" problem regarding the type/ class of room we had booked and offered a price adjustment. the room we had booked apparently does only exist- or they oversold the class....
total ripp off- because they lure you into this place with glam pic´s and then can not provide the apartment booked and try to calm you w/ a price adjustment.
nevertheless a totally disappointing accomondation. the double room we ended up in wasn´t as modern + chic like the fotos on their webside.
check out is a 12 noon( on paper)- we were told to leave a 10.30
never again- a overrated place - that does not meet reality

Room Tip: booking a large 45 m2 studio with seperate or upstairs bedroom does not guarantee you to receive t...

This hotel is a block from Porta Susa where a bus goes to and from Casella and Malpensa (Milan) airports. We arrived by train from Bologna and went by Metro to Eataly (Metro and trenitalia are separate but same station), all from Porta Susa. It is just outside city center and nearby caffes are equivalent quality for less €. I couldn't get enough cappucino for 1.30€. There is a park 2 blocks west that has a daily street market with organic fruit, veggies, fresh pastas including ravioli etc, cheese, sausage, honey, handcrafts. We bought food to cook only once for adventure, because good restaurant meals with tasty wine are under 24€. We like to walk and went the width of city center and back to churches, museums, etc. There are inexpensive city bikes to rent at stations around the city. There is a pull out couch if you have kids and kitchenette. I would choose this hotel on return.

We stayed in the loft apartment, the new air conditioning didn't work for the first week of our stay which was unfortunate. The room was always cleaned and stocked well.
The staff was very helpful somehow managing to work with the bus company to locate and retrieve one of our lost bags, having it at reception for us by the next morning.
The location is a block from the metro line and a reasonable walk into the city center.
The neighborhood feels very safe and is near to smaller markets. It's not very touristy, but quiet.

Room Tip: Our room was charged on a per person basis, if anyone in your group backs out make sure to have them...

What can I say? Super friendly and efficient staff. Super clean, modern and large rooms. Well located. With metro station as fas as 200 meters, restaurants, shops all around the area. Go for it.
This is not a hotel, it's more like a residence as the name may suggest. Nevertheless the service and the cleanliness is superb. They do everything in their power to fulfill your expectation or to answer your question that might span from which restaurant to go to the most suitable sight to visit in a particular day. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: My room was in the second floor. We could sleep well though the highest torino building construction...

The Star has beautiful large rooms, equipped with a useful kitchenette and a great bathroom. There is heaps of storage, and room to sit and work or relax. The onsite parking and close in location meant the car could have a rest while we walked and took local trams and buses. A great place to stay in an interesting city.
