“Very good restaurant of sea food in Milan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2012

Delicious and fresh fish/ sea food, good house wine from Sardinia and good atmosphere. It was funny that the waiter did not show us a menu, just asked what we wanted instead and took me to the vittine where the fresh fishes and other sea food were. Nevertheless I enjoyed the informal style! The apetizers and the bread were also delicious. The place is a bit far from the easy spots and from the metro station, but it is really worth trying!

“GREAT FISH - BEST PRICE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2011

Milano is famous for good ration quality/price fish restaurant

This restaurant is in my top 3!! Quite favorable position, and friendly staff, even if you still need to remember you are in Milan, snobby city for definition!

I ate there 3 times and I have to say that the quality didn't change at all, very good in term of freshness of the fish and cooking skill of the cook!

Always crowded so better to book it!

If i have to find a defect...since it's small and most of the time full, it's a bit noisy

PS: the bread is really good!!

“Wonderful astice alla catalana”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2011

Rightly regarded as one of the best and most reasonably priced fish restaurants in Milano. We made reservations a week in advance. Very pleasant and friendly ambience, attentive waiters. It seems to be on the list of favorites for Japanese tourists. Our recommendation came from the Slow Food guide, Osterie d’Italia. The menu is somewhat limited.

A huge piece of wonderful crusty bread is placed on every table, and the wine served is vermentino di Sardegna (there may be other choices, but this is the appropriate white wine for Sardinian style seafood). We started with two antipasti (polipo e patate and the soutè di vongole), both of which were rich in flavor and flawlessly prepared. Then came the prime reason for going to this restaurant, the astice alla catalana. The plate was monstrous in size, but included a generous quantity of fresh tomatoes and red onions. The quantity of astice was not meager either. We finished all the astice and dipped pieces of bread in the sauce. Although I did not eat any pieces of onion, I could taste the onion later just from the sauce. The vermentino was very good for its price (€12).

After the astice the waiter served a spoonful of creamy Sardinian pecorino, and we had no room for dessert. The bill was 100 euros, which we thought very reasonable.

“spectacular!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2011

me and my girlfriend arrived on a monday afternoon, around Christmas, at 2.30PM, when the kitchen was going to close. They kindly gave us a table and served us in a few minutes. A wonderful Pigato wine with wonderful risotto with sea fruits. And as second main course, tagliata of thuna fish. Everything was extremely fresh and tasty, and of a taste which goes beyond the simple 'good'. Also their home-baked bread was very fresh and tasty. Only one clear and straight advise: go there and try it yourself. You will be pleasurably surprised and definitively satisfied.
