“elegant and perfect for not to forget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013 via mobile

I like to come here for special occasions. the location in pazza della Scala in Milan is really unique. the furtinureand Te overall setting is elegant in a classy Italian manner that is you can come here dressed in Jen and sweater and nobody will look at you as if you were a Martian. I had risotto yellow style milanese and lamb. Wine a barbareco of Piemonte. no dessert but a very very good caffé ristretto elegantly served and unforgettable aroma.

“Innovative Tasting Menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Spacious restaurant with modern decor. Creative and hearty Italian fare. Tried the 7 course tasting menu. The deconstructed tiramisu (liquid chocolate, cacao, coffee and mascarpone cheese) was the perfect dish to end the meal. Must also try their Veal Nose and Risotto. Not for casual dining as it's a bit pricy.

“Michelin ???”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Staff were very helpful but lacking the finesse expected of a Michelin Starred restaurant. One example, good quality burgundy not decanted. The chefs tasting menu which should have demonstrated his skills in presenting courses and blending flavours was very disappointing to the extent of being embarrassing, A sad experience particularly as these establishments charge a lot for their services and it should be a an evening of delicious tastes,

“Good for special occasions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

I still have mixed feelings about this place, it's easy to criticise when you spend soooooo much on a meal (a la carte over 150 euros par person for two 'courses' an aperitivo and a bottle of wine in 3)
I'll ignore the fact I got out of the restaurant still hungry, and I don't eat a lot. The reality is that this is the sort of place that offers an experience more than a meal.
In that sense it achieved its purpose, the location is great, the ambience is very minimalistic and chic, lot of space and privacy, large immaculate tables, nice crockery and good service.

The debate is more over the food. I had 5 raw prawns to start with, special of the day freshly cought in San Remo. I love raw fish, they were great. I just wished i had seen a bit more of the chef in this, as they were simply cleaned (which for me is not simple, but I woukd think a basic skill for a chef) and plated with nothing else. Good catch to the fishmonger anyhow.

The main was cappellacci (a sort of ravioli) filled with cabbage, pig trotter, served with ginger and prawns.I think using ginger in that combination was very brave and I much appreciated to try that. It was pleasant but far too delicate, I personally wish I could have tasted the cabbage and pig trotter more and get a contrast with ginger and prawns (which go very well together).

We gave a miss on the desserts, but received a plate with little sweeties, really lovely, a set of different textures, colours and flavours.

I would recommend this place for special occasions for the pampering athmosphere it offers, if you really don't mind spending that sort of money for eating very little.

“Trendy atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

The atmosphere was modern and trendy. Trussardi Cafe is a place to go after work, to meet with friends and have a drink and have some small starters. The dinner CAFE-menu did not satisfy me because the courses were not tasty. And it was expensive considering the quality.
