“Nice base for staying in Milano”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

I was staying second time in this hotel, the fist time was 3 years ago and again this year. The hotel is perfect if you are travelling by car, because the hotel has free parking space in front of hotel as well as the garage ( garage is not free). Also, it is 5 minutes by food to tram station which connects you o centre of town ( Duomo). Rooms are 4 stars standard, clean with very decent bathroom. Breakfast is amazing, with wide choice of home made delicious cookies, tarts and cakes. Typical italian breakfast with fresh brewed coffee, fruits, mortadella, panini, sweets etc. Also, the hotel is very good connected with highways and perfect if you want to discover around Milano as well as cenat of Milano.

Room Tip: choose superior room, it is bigger

When my wife and I arrived at the hotel last summer, I could not believe my eyes... I thought I was dreaming! Well, first I was happy just being in Milan, myself being a photographer who loves fashion and architecture/design, but staying at this hotel was the icing on the cake. I loved where it was located; in a quiet neighborhood that to me seemed to be both quite trendy and hip. The lobby of the hotel alone is a modern interior design fan's dream! To me it seemed quite fitting being that Milan is pretty much the design capital. Our room was clean and superb!

Overall, staying there was quite a wonderful experience!

I´ve been booking a room at Idea Hotel Milano Wattredici to attend a local A/V show.

This hotel is nice and a rather new. Rooms are clean, large and with a nice bathroom.
The breakfast buffet is brilliant and comprehensive with lots of delicious cake, as Italian the sweet breakfast I like, unfortunately the room was full and some dishes were constantly empty as people are not used to stand up twice rather than making their plate full and eat only the half.
As many already have described this hotel is located outside the centre of Milan. But as soon as you figure out the system using tram and “metro”, it is actually quite easy getting to and from the city centre. It is also an advantage you get free parking at the hotel, and the saved parking-fee more than covers the bus tickets.
There are also several local dining options which looked nice and popular, and probably an excellent alternative if getting tired of paying absurd overcharges for mediocre meals near the Duomo, I could enojoy a good Spaghetti plate and a salad for 7 EUR in the Café Next door.
This is a fine and reasonable priced hotel in a quiet location, easy parking and relative easy access to the centre with public transportation.
Considering Italian standards a very good solution at a good price.

This hotel is tucked away in an average area of Milan. It has an ultra cool lobby area, and the bar area and breakfast room are here too. The rooms are quite small although we booked a twin room, so maybe the doubles were bigger. The room was clean and modern, and service was excellent. There are some awesome restaurants in this area tucked away down the streets off the canal.

Very nice hotel. Small, but has everything you need. Only real problem is it is out of town. Took 1 hour to get to city center with bus/tram, due to traffic. Metro station not far from hotel makes travel easier, about 1.5 km from hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 8 days while attending a conference in Milan in August/September. While the room was smallish, it was very clean, very comfortable and contained everything I required and more. The internet worked well and although it was an extra cost, it was reasonable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The only meal they offer is breakfast which was excellent, plentiful and tasty. However there are many reasonable restaurants within walking distance so this was not an issue for me. It's drawback if it could be called that is location, however, it was still easy to get around using bus and metro. Best of all I got all this for a sum that didn't break the bank. I enjoyed my stay and recommend it.

This hotel is smoke-free, which is rare as everyone in Milan smokes everywhere! The room was clean and had a safe and a minibar fridge which could be used to hold a few of your self-bought snacks. The breakfast is the best of I experienced in Italy, when compared to other accomodations where breakfast was included. It offers a variety of pastries, meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, juices, and cereal. Plus, they make you cappuccino or espresso on the spot!

The staff speak several languages, are very well informed about the city, and extremely accommodating. I Only wished they had explained the key card system a little better as it caused me a few inconveniences.

It's location is great. It's a 3 minute walk from the Route 2 streetcar which takes you to the Duomo and the Porta Genova metro station. A stop for the Route 74 bus which also goes to Porto Genova is only 10 metres from the hotel.

The drawback of my experience was the smell of ammonia in the bathroom, coming from the toilet You don't notice until the second day, as the scent is disguised body room spray when you check in. It was tolerable and I found if I left my balcony door open while I was in the room, it helped. It wasn't unbearable, though.

Room Tip: Get a room at the end of the hall. I didn't hear a peep. Construction across from the front of t...
