“An excellent base for Milan!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

Stayed here for 3 nights and were delighted with this hotel.

~ Location
It is quite far out from the city centre but it is so accessible that this isn't a problem at all! The area around the hotel is not particularly attractive; it is very residential. There is a tram stop 1 minute walk, the number 12 takes you directly to the city centre in 25 mins: either into the castle area (Lanza stop) or to the Duomo. There is a Metro stop also (Villapizzone) 5 minutes walk away but we preferred to use the tram as the tram stop is much nearer, the subway stop is down a long narrow lane and also it is nicer to look out the window of the tram as you pass through the suburbs into Milan! You can buy a day ticket for €4.50 at the machines in the subway or in shops which allows you to use all of the trams and metros for 24 hours. This allows you to come and go to different areas of the city without fiddling for change all the time! There is a 48 hour ticket available too. It is also easy to get to from the airport: Malpensa Express to Cadorna station and then the tram/metro.

~ Dinner
The food in the hotel bar is very expensive. The bar area is also very quiet so not much atmosphere. There are a few restaurants within 10 minutes walk of the hotel. The nearest one is if you turn right when you come out of the hotel until the end of the street and then take another right, it is just halfway up on the left. Loved this Pizzeria/Pasta restaurant: it is is so tasty, the staff are so nice and is excellent value! You can either sit in for an extra 2 euro charge, or take away your pizza/beer/dessert back to the hotel! The food is extremely fresh; you can see the man cooking your pizza in the big hearth!

~ Breakfast
Breakfast is amazing! So much choice!! Cereals, breads, herbal teas, muffins, juice, fruits, boiled eggs, wedges! Delicious!

~ Room
The room is lovely and clean. It is really nicely decorated and is extremely spacious. The bathroom too is excellent: large bath, large shower, toiletries were nice, heated towel rack. Room has a fridge, a safe, tea/coffee facilities, TV with one or 2 English speaking news channels. No view to speak of from the window, but that's quite unimportant!

This was an excellent hotel to stay in, and if you prefer comfort to location then this is a great choice!

i cannot speak to the location but my room was great and the free buffet breakfast in the morning was perfect for my time constraints (not sure it's free for everyone). Also, when i arrived i was having a really bad night and i think the man could tell and he upgraded me for free to a suite -hence my great room. the internet access was flawless and for printing you just email the docs down to the front desk and they printed it for free. called me cabs when i needed them and gave me good advice.

We stayed in this hotel for the first time January 2014. Polite and nice staff,we received exactly the room we desired:a quiet one,far away from the elevator. Wonderful AC system,we could sleep withou any noise problem of it. There is an indoor parking for a 20 euro fee. Location isn't great, but the center of the city can be reached in 15-20 minutes without intense traffic. I recommend this hotel.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Stayed on the 9th floor of this new hotel (2008 I was told by the receptionist). Nice view of the outlying area. Rooms were huge and bed very comfortable. Nice modern bathrooms with both shower and separate bath. The room rates were very decent and service ok. I found the bar and restaurant prices quite high but there are not many alternatives in the area so they tend to have the monopoly there.... Felt rather unsafe to walk around after dark. Hotel is close enough to the tram (No12) which takes you in the centre of town (D'uomo) which was convenient.

Room Tip: Higher floor the better

Working meeting brought me there for two nights globally I would say a positive experience considering Milano hotel fares and offered service:

- breakfast superior in term of service and offer compared with famous brand.
- Comfortable room, nothing to mention.
- Room meeting and service offered is good, there are also some special buisness suites i'd recommend.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

Stayed here with my Family in April for one week. Sons 1 and Daughters 4, so was open minded about how a hotel like this would respond to my lively children! They embarrassed it, couldn't have been more helpful. Room was lovely, we had a one bed room suite, massive bath and shower. Large lounge where we had breakfast delivered to our room every morning. Two large wall mounted TVs, the suite package included on demand movies which was handy after a long day out, they had both things for the children to watch and myself. Avoided the hotel restaurant for the stay as was a little posh for the young ones, but have no doubt they would have been fine if we wish to dine. The pool was not very large but perfect for us. There is a Tram stop right out side the hotel, think it goes every 10-15 mins and takes 20-30 mins to get to centre of the city. A travel card for it can be bought from most shops and costs around 8 euros, we bought one and never used it, no one seems to bother, though when using the underground you have to pay!

Down sides -

Air con in our first room didn't work in the main bedroom and it took them 2 nights to move us, though I brought up their "if you not happy, you don't pay" policy at check out and they credited one and half nights. The Sauna & Steam are run down and not very nice, the hot tub was out of order and looked like it had been that way for quite a while.
