“What an unfriendly place in a top location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2011

This hotel is so well located in a very quiet street just of Corso Buenos Aires at Lima. Perfect for shopping and getting about Milan. But what a surly reception! Do these people want to attract return custom. Not a smile at reception. Room service was deplorable with wet towels left on the bed, request to change a light bulb ignored, and a non functioning WiFi. The breakfast room had tables really suitable for one person. The bright spot was the charming breakfast room manager. She was not a native of Milan and tried so hard when the overall management was so poor. This could be a great boutique hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel 3 times over a period of a 10 day visit to italy. The hotel is decent for the price, it is conveniently located near a subway station on a quiet street. In our 3 different stays we had 3 different rooms of which we most liked the room on the 1st floor facing the courtyard. On our second stay we were given a room in front of the elevator on the 3rd floor which had 2 twinbeds pushed together, but they agreed to move us into a room with a double bed on the mainfloor. The front desk staff were pretty acomodating as our check in times really varied from needing an early check-in to needing to check-in fairly late at night as well as very early check-outs to fly out. Breakfast was quite filling and they had a lot of variety including a lot of fruit. A few oddities - the walls in this hotel are fabric, and are very thin (you can here what's going on in other rooms
0; the electricity in the room does not work unless you plug the key card into the main light switch. Our only quibbles, are they don't have irons in the room, the bathrooms are incredibly small, particularly the shower stalls and the wireless internet did not work in some of the rooms.

The hotel is basic. The rooms are nothing to write home about but they are clean and have comfortable beds.

The breakfast buffet is adequate with breads, rolls, cheese, fruit and yogurt. Great coffee!

If you are looking to sleep comfortably in Milan without spending a lot, then this is the hotel! If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere.

This is a very decent three-star hotel with some character in a period building in a quiet but pleasant area 10 minutes walk from the Central Station. The reception staff are charming, helpful and courteous in a low-key way. My room was a very adequate size, looked recently refurbished and had all the facilities I needed. The rate I was able to find made it an absolute bargain by any standards but particularly for Milan. To be recommended.

Room Tip: First floor room at the front was very quiet

It felt safe. The lobby was very classy. However, rooms and bathrooms were the smaller I think I encountered in about 9 hotels I stayed all around Europe in our 18 day trip. We were recommended to eat at a restaurant around its corner and it was terrible!!!! Staff at the reception and restaurant was not very helpful. But then again, I am from Costa Rica where staff service and friendliness is top of the line! Make sure to book ahead of time your visit to the last supper, yes is here in Milan!

2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2010

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during the ash cloud chaos. Booked and paid for a double/twin room which wasn't cheap but upon check in was given a single bed with the smallest room imaginable. Air conditioners were not working at all luckily it was in April where the overnight temperatures are bearable if you keep the windows opened. Staff was rather unfriendly and intimidating. Didn't even bothered to check the breakfast out. The only advantage of this hotel is its close proximity to the metro, central station and provides free internet wifi.
