“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

B&B is in great location 2 minute walk from main square. A little hard to find somewhere to eat. Secure apartment block. When booking ask Camilla what number to press on intercom at front door to gain access to building. Rooms very clean and beds comfortable but a little crowded with furniture and bits and pieces. Only one bathroom for 3 rooms so timing is important. Camilla is very helpful and a sweet lady. You are staying in Camilla's home and she appears all the time. This did not bother us but may be a problem to some. With so much to see and do you dont spend long in the rooms. Breakfast was a great selection and a very differant egg cooker.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2011

So spacious that it was more like having a studio apartment to myself than a room. The furniture is really dated and decoration eclectic: chintz + vintage + rattan + IKEA. It felt like staying in a grandma's home.

The self-service breakfast was more than adequate, plenty of bread, crisp bread, biscotti, cream cheese, fruits, yoghurt, milk, assortment of teas and coffee. There was even a small bottle of white wine in the fridge. It was more than just breakfast but also the last line of defence against hunger when the shops closed by 8pm and not wanting to spend a bomb in restaurant.

Hot water and water pressure were good, spacious bathroom with shelves for toiletries. There was no aircon, just ceiling fans, so may be quite hot in summer. The Wifi was good only in the 'living room' of my 'studio apartment'.

The location was the key selling point, easy walking distance to Duomo, Last Supper, express train station to airport and metro. There were plenty of shops on the main street, from MacDonald to H&M to Zara etc.

Extremely warm and inviting, and very close to the Duomo. Surrounded by shops and wished I'd stayed longer. The room had a lot of character, and an adorable balcony.

Our small family only stayed here one night and found it to be efficient for our needs. We probably wouldn't stay here again though. While Signora Lozza was friendly and helpful and email correspondence very prompt, the room was a pretty dated, but on a positive note it was large. The elevator was very small & cramped we had to make 2 trips. Location was great. Would recommend for anyone just passing through for a night.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Place is located in center area of Milan a short walk from the Milan Cathedral. Beds were comfortable.Breakfast is by self yourself - coffee, juices, meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, everything you want and how much you want. Was little expensive but worth it.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2011

We unfortunately had to spend 3 nights in this place : Via Torino 51, Milano.
I am mentionning the address again because there seems to be another B&B called "Camilla", which is confusing because this one has a paper on the front door stating "Milan Camilla B&B".
So :
Negative first :
1. This is not a B&bB : you have to prepare the breakfast yourself & carry it to your room (no kitchen access). So just picture yourself waiting for your "neighbours" to bring back the kettle to the corridor, and so on. Just to be clear, this is not a bad thing per se, but this is not what I am expecting from a b&B. So forget about the nice morning chat with the host in a clean kitchen : you'll eat your breakfast alone in your room.
2. the corridor is messy & a smelly (and believe me, I'm usually not very cautious about those things)
3 the bathroom is clean BUT everything looks unstable & falling apart.
I don't want to be insulting, and Camilla has been kind to us, but it really feels like this is not her thing...
The only positive points is the location, but it still remains totally overpriced, especially compared to all the other places we visited in the region.

You can't beat the location of the Milan Inn, right near the Duomo in a busy shopping street (which you don't notice once your inside the apartment). Especially convenient when flying on Linate airport, just 15 minutes walk from the bus stop of the airport bus. It took us about 45 minutes from airport door to Inn door. Also walkable distance from the train to Malpensa Airport. The host was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are reasonably priced for the location, though decoration was a bit old fashioned. Coffee and tea facilities in the room which was nice. The shared bathroom was a bit small, though the shower head was very large.
