“Great Location For the Firenze”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2011

Stayed here 10 mins from Firenze location - ideal. Easy access to downtown via bus/ tram. Very friendly & helpful staff. Clean but basic room - wireless available & easy to connect - as for most things just ask at lobby. Little English spoken by most staff (although manager speaks good English) but I didn't find this a problem (I speak no Italian).

Stayed at Hotel Piccolo after reading reviews and it was absolutely a wonderful hotel and family operated. Only the son spoke English and he was so helpful with suggestions. An amazing breakfast for what you typically receive at hotels in Europe.
The room was somewhat larger than some small hotels in Europe so that was a nice surprise.

I would definitely stay here again if returing to Milan. Also, several nice dining facilities near hotel. I am a single female and no safety concerns day or night.

My only problem is the bus. Although buses run punctually you did have to make a long journey before getting back to the hotel but a small price to pay for such a nice an inexpensive place to stay. Keep in mind that the bus did go right near the Duomo area so a plus.

Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend staying if you are on a fixed budget or just want to experience the lovely warmth of a nice Italian family.

The biggest delight was free WI-Fi- yeah!!!

This family-run hotel on a quiet street with restaurants nearby is friendly and very clean. Rooms are basic but have all the essentials.

Very good breakfast buffet included.

Front desk will proactively provide advice on the 15-minute bus ride from across the street to the downtown area where all the tourist sites are located. The personal warmth of the staff makes you feel at home here.

Good value, comfortable and clean. I would stay there again on another visit to Milan.

Our room was clean and great value for money to compare with the other hotel in Milan. It is extremely easy and convenient to use the public transport system and just talk only 15 mins to go to the city central.

The hotel looks ordinary from the outside, but our room was pleasant, well furnished and very clean. The bathroom was small. The breakfast, served in an attractive dining room, was tasty. The management welcomed us warmly and were helpful. There were several good restaurants lively bars and clubs in the vicinity. However a trip to the central cathedral, which completely dominates this city, involved a laborious journey on the trundling tram 1, whose vintage charms quickly palled.

The family who owns and runs this little hotel is extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. You could not ask for nicer hosts. The breakfast was very good, and the dining room was spacious and attractive. Our disappointments were that the room and bathroom were extremely small and the tram ride between the hotel and the center of town was long and confusing. We had come to Milan mainly to see the Last Supper, which we did on a very nice walking tour arranged beforehand. Depending on your needs in Milan, this could be a great choice, but do specify one of their larger rooms.

We came here just for couple day and had a lovely B&B stay at this hotel.
The rooms were at the standard of 3 star quality. However the room was very clean and there is wifi to your room as well.
We were very happy with the staff, dinning room and cleanliness and these are definetely 5 star. The service was very helpful - with information on how to travel in Milan.
Another thing is that the hotel is right next to the bus stop, so very ideal to travel around the city.
Will come back next time.
