Good hotel and close to metro which gives easy access to the city. Small lift which is fine except when you have a pram, and the doors would close on you (ouch!). Fantastic breakfast. Service from hotel staff not the best but they did there job. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Overall great value for your money.

Looked on trip advisor and reasonably impressed with reviews. Stayed for 2 nights during mid April. Booked the hotel as a mystery hotel on lastminute.com and when it was confirmed as Romana Residence - pleased owing to the reviews.

Good location - central and easy access to metro / duomo.

Room was very large and had own kitchen,fridge inside and table. Really pleased as travelling with a 21 month old you need space.

Bin under sink not empty -with a smelly nappy already in there. Fridge stocked for you but no bottle opener and when I asked for one the guy came from reception opened my bottle and took the opener back down to the bar. Room was very warm and when asked to alter they did turn the heating down, but still v warm.
Behind a set of draws was dirty clothing. The cot was more at home in a hospital, metal and on wheels. They obviously had a cot but then cannot understand why they did not have a high chair in the resteraunt!

The lifts - dangerous. Very narrow so much so you we couldnt push our travel push chair in the lift we had to collapse it everytime we got in their and then the doors quickly shut and seem to have no mechanism that when they are touched they move open. I got stuck twice in the lift doors and missed two lifts due to this quick shutting doors.

For the money and location it is a reasonable hotel, just disappointed with a few basic elements.

The hotel is extremely easy and inexpensive to get to from Malpensa, we took the train from the airport to Garibaldi station and took a taxi. We stayed from March 21-23, 2008 and paid 85 euro for a double room. The breakfast is truly the most remarkably I've seen in Europe. Hot eggs and bacon, breads, sweet rolls, juice and coffee. The staff was very friendly and all spoke english. The hotel has a very beautiful lobby and the rooms were extremely clean. It is a very short walk to the Duomo and there is a Metra stop about 100 meters to the right of the hotel entrance. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Milan.

I originally booked a double room. When I arrived to the hotel in late evening, the reception upgraded me to a suite. What a pleasure surprise!

The suite was nicely decorated and well equipped with a little pantry and a jacuzzi bathtub. The king-sized bed was cosy. Too bad that I had a train to catch early next morning. Otherwise, I would enjoy my sleep for some more couple hours.

The hotel breakfast was one thing I admired most. The hotel served American breakfast and coffee. This was something which would delight you if you were not the type to enjoy light European breakfast.

The staff members were very nice. They all speak good English.

At the price I paid for, this hotel was definitely an excellent choice.
