We spent (my husband and I) the Easter weekend in Milan for shopping and found this design hotel over the net the very last day.
After reading all reviews, we did not know what to expect, but at the end it was only for two nights and our idea was not to spend too much time in the hotel room.
Upon our early arrival, the room was not ready and we left our suitcases and started our tour, but not before have the environment checked out and the first impression about entrance and lobby was "so COOL, all black and concrete".
Reception staff young and polite, next door a nice typical coffee bar, part of the hotel but opened to passers-by.
When we made later our way to the room, we found it as cozy as the rest of the hotel: modern and minimal, all black & white and concrete walls.
The bathroom, well hidden behind a wooden wall, was small but with everything we needed and so cooool.
The room is not huge, like all 4* hotels in milan but with the difference that they are tough and boring, whereas this one is fresh and easy.
From our window, the view at the end of the narrow street where the hotel is located, was compeltely occupied from the massive side of Duomo. Location could not be better: 3 steps from Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 100m away from Duomo underground station.
The breakfast served in a cosy room was extremely good, with a wide choice of everything and waiters so prompt in serving hot drinks as soon as new guests entered the room.
Needless to say, food was fresh and delicious, and again displayed as ready for a AD photo.
This hotel is indeed a design hotel!
Price is not low, but it is in the heart of Milan and next time we will choose it again.
Only recommendation: if you like traditional old style hotels, stay away!
