“Great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2011

This hotel was an excellent choice amongst all the overly expensive hotels in Milan. It was situated in a quiet residential district yet just a few minutes away from the city centre when taking the excellent Metro. The hotel was exactly what it said it was - quite basic yet incredible comfortable, clean and a very generous buffet breakfast. The staff were very polite and let us leave our cases there as long as we wanted on the last day which was very helpful. Tonnes of fantastic places to eat in the area as well - notably a particular takeaway pizza place on the corner which had a constant queue out the door anytime of day. Another great tip for buying food is to try out the local supermarkets - in this case Esse Lungo just down the road was great for bargains.

I went there over the last weekend of May. I stayed in a double room, which was okay, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit tiny. Everything was clean. The buffet for breakfast was ok, they even had food good for celiacs!
The personnel was kind and helpful.
The location was practical, very close to the train station and metro station, there were many buses and also a tram.
The only downside was that at night the street was a bit noisy with drunk people, drug dealers and the police stopping them. But during the day it was nice.
I'd defenitely go back!

Parking for just 1 or 2 small cars
Old rooms that needs renovation.
Verry much noise in the night. No nonsmoke rooms.
On the website the pictures make it look verry nice (verry old pictures)
I would not reccomend this hotel for a family or a couple
I would not reccomend this hotel to nobody.

We stay at the Gamma when working at a high voltage test lab in Milano called CESI. It's a good hotel for a single person working in Milano for a week or more, but I would not reccomend this hotel for a family or a couple.

I stayed here with a tour group. Please explain why non-smoking hotels still have ashtrays in the room? The headboards reminded me of 'Soul Glow' from Coming to America - yes... total stained grossness. The good news is that there was free wifi in the lobby... but I had to walk down 5 flights of stairs as the one elevator that held 2 people was super slow (imagine 50 people with 50 suitcases checking in at the same time) - terrible.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2010

I recently stayed at Hotel Gamma for 5 nights in September. I had read many of the negative reviews on this site but decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived.
Our room was nicely decorated in continental colours. Yellow walls and reddish
bedcovers. Our room was very clean. Our beds were made everyday and we were given fresh towels each day.
The shower was small but very warm and powerful.
The beds were very comfortable.
The staff were all very pleasant to us and we were able to leave our lugage at the hotel in a luggage room on our last day.
Breakfast was pretty good. Cereal, bread, rolls, croissants, biscuits, fruit, eggs, cheese, ham and a selection of teas, coffees and juices.

We picked this hotel for its location, We were at the Italain Grand Prix and the Lambrate train station was right across the road from the hotel. Monza is only 4 stops from Lambrate station, so it was very handy for us.
There are a few nice restaurants near the hotel and a nice cheap Pizzeria that does great calzone.
I really cant fault the hotel for its price and would definitely go back.

An absolute fleepit, thanks Expedia.
Granted, it cost €65 a night, and was rated 3 stars, but my god, it's a dump.
We arrived, tired, on our last day of a week long trip, only intending to stay for a few hours before our flight the next morning. First up, the hotel looks like a badly kept russian Intourist hotel, all concrete, metal and faded paint.
The room we were given stunk to high heaven, and when I went down to ask the nonplussed guy at reception if we could have a room that was a non-smoking one, he told us that all his rooms were smoking rooms! Despite booking a double room, we got two single beds, which we tried to stick together.
The bathroom was straight out of college halls.
I'd spend a bit more, and actually read reviews next time, despite it only being for a few hours, months later I'm still angry about it, and my gf still won't let me pick the accommodation for our holidays.
